Starting The Fight With Alduin
To challenge Alduin, leave the Hall of Valor and cross the whalebone bridge. The Heroes will speak amongst themselves, trying to figure out how to dispell the mist. After some back-and-forth, they will decide to Sho🔜ut together to combine their v๊oices.
Use the Clear Skies Shout three times. The Heroes will follow your lead, managing to dispel the mist. Alduin will reform the mist twice and will descend to fight you on the third time.
Defeating Alduin
Alduin doesn't have any new tricks though he isn't any easier to fight this time. You will want to use Dragonrend to ground him and render him vulnerable to your attacks. The Heroes will fight him as well. They will not permanently die and can be 🅘used as a distraction🃏 if things get dicey.

This is, for all intents and purposes, the final boss fight of the game and you should hold nothing back. Use any potions you might need w൩ithout reservation as you dꦏeplete his health.
His fire breath is particularly deadly. Like other dragons, you can stop him from using it with a well-timed shield bash or blasting him with Unrelenting Force. Just make sure to keep him under the effect of Dragonrend to force him on the defensive.
If you are struggling to defeat Alduin and you don't seem to be adequately prepared for the challenge, you can let the Heroes do all the fighting and land the final blow.
Alduin will be defeated when he runs out of health. He won't die until you deal the final blow. Screaming in denial, he explodes horrifically. Wit𝔍h this, Sovngarde and Skyrim, are saved.
In the aftermath of his defeat, speak to Tsun to return to Skyrim. Before you leave, he will teach you the shout Call of Valor.
You will not be able to return to Sovngarde after you leave. It is a unique area that has many easter eggs for people who pay attention to the game's lore.
Epilogue
You return to the Throat of The World. Dragons surround you as they speak in their language before departing. Paarthurnax will speak to you about his brother's death for a time before leaving, declaring that he will convin♊ce oth𝔉er dragons to come around to his peaceful philosophy.
If you have finished the quest Paarthurnax, this scene will be skipped.
Odahviing will land next, saying that you can call on him anytime for help in battle. Using all three words of the Call Dragon Shout will summon him as an ally.
You may visit the Blad༒es and the Graybeards to speak about your ꦜaccomplishment as well.
Congratulations! You have completed Skyrim's main story, though there is a good chance that you still have much more to complete.
