There are four total, and while they’ve been put together ꩵto complete the puzzle, the meaning is still cryptic and unclear.

The ceꦍntre looks like an Oblivion gate, but rather than the roughly placed stone blocks of Mehrune Dagon’s, this new gateway has a fanciful golden frame with stained glass patterns.

At either end is the Fargrave symbol, the border between Daedric realms, a bustling city lying on the edge of literal Oblivion. We’ve ventur♓ed there before in a separate DLC, so it could either be dressing to embellish the portal or a hint to where it all kicks off.

Surrounding the portal are a series of different icons which only muddy the meaning of the full picture furtherᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ. There are symbols for Hermaeus Mora, Thജe Mages Guild, Mephala’s Crown, and even what looks to be the Order of the Lamp. What connects all of these is paramount to uncovering the meaning behind the finished piece.

Who Are The Order Of The Lamp?

If you’ve played an Elder Scrolls game, you’ll have heard of the Mages Guild, a continent-wide school dedicated to the scholarly pursuit of magic. But a lesser-known sect of that guild is the Order of the Lamp, a band of protectors who would, over the years, weed out necromancers and prevent harm from befalling the school. They were pivotal in defeating Mannimarco, the soon-to-be god of necromancy, and usurping Ma꧙gister Ulliceta gra-Kogg in O♌rsinium.

Strangely, they’re absent in The Elder Scrolls Online, despite us knowing via in-game books that Vanus Galerion led a group of Lamp Knights against the Worm King around the same period the game is set in. The next expansion may finally reintroduce them for the first time since Daggerfall, much as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:High Isle brought back the druids.

The Order of the Lamp’s icon being present gives us some important context, as it would mean that the Mages Guild is most likel🍌y in danger or readying for conflict. That brings us to Hermaeus Mora.

Mora, with the backing of most Daedric Princes, wi൲ped all knowledge of them off the face of Nirn, leaving only himself to remember their existence. We uncover this by the end of Necrom, bringing that knowledge back to Tamriel. Her🧸 name is Ithelia, the Prince of Paths and Mistress of the Untraveled Road. She can rewrite fate, which is why the pantheon was so frightened of her.

Necrom ends with▨ us uncovering this knowledge and sharing it with our allies, potentially unravelling Mora’s scheme to erase her existence. We know in future Elder Scrolls games that there is no mention of Ithelia, so either Mora manages to put the genie back in the bottle, or the future is about to change.

The Mages Guild, like Hermaeus Mora, is all about knowledge. Throughout ESO, we collect books for them, much as he does in Apocrypha. Perhaps rumour spreads of Ithel🌳ia and the two clash over this loosening truth, leading to the involvement of the scarcely seen Lamp Knights.

Meridia’s Oblivion Realm

That still doesn’t explain the Oblivion gate though. It hardly matches Mora’s Lovecraftian tentacles and squelchy black ooze, not to mention that w💝e’ve already been to Apocrypha in the most recent expansion.

One theory is that it’s Meridia’s gate, given that the symbol on the inside looks incredibly similar to her own. That would make it a portal to the Colored Rooms, home to the Golden Saints we saw in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oblivion’s❀ Shivering Isles DLC. That aesthetic lines up with the design of the portal’s frame too.

A letter accompanying the fragment discusses former Pact members searching for “something of great importance&rdജquo;; perhaps this gate.

Her realm is not Hellish like many of the other Daedric Princes', but bountiful and light, formed by bending the rays of Magnus - the sun. As such, it’s often the staging ground for conflicts with other Princes, including her eternal war with Molag Bal. In ESO itself, she even helps us defeat him once more as he invades and plunders Tamriel with his reality-bending anchors.

If this is Meridia’s portal, the next expansion could see her helping us fight yet ไanother Daedric Prince. Hermaeus Mora kept the secret of Ithelia from even his own kind, something that will no doubt bring about tension if it spreads from the lips of mortals to the minds of gods.

Where Does Mephala Fit In?

Meridia could help us fight Hermaeus Mora, with the aid of the Mages Guild and its very own band of wܫarriors, the Lamp Knights. But that doesn’t explain what looks to be Mephala’s crown.

We visited Mephala's realm in ESO's recent dungeon DLC, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Scribes of Fate.

She is the Daedric Prince of secrets, murder, lies, and deception, so it stands to reason that she would side with Mora in his quest to bury such a monumental truth. Her involvement may simply be as a secondary villain, to help him in his quest to keep Ithelia💧 buried, or she may play a much larger role than we expect. It’s hard to say.

There are other concerns, like what appears to be a symbol of Falinesti, a lyre, and the blessed life tree of the ayleids, so there is clea💝rly much more to the story. But at the least, I’d hazard a guess that Necrom’s ending is far from over and we’re about to unravel the aftermath, fighting once more with and against the pantheon of Daedra.

Whether Ithelia remains buried is the key concern, as knowledge of her becoming commonplace would shift where ESO standꦜs among other TES games. Either it changes the future, carves out its own timeline, or restores the status quo. We’ll find out soon enough.
