Thꦓink your neighbor is a Doppelganger? Here's 🃏how to tell.

Nightmare Mode🧔 doesn't take place in a normal office building. Instead, you are living inside the Doorman's Nightmare and must survive the Nightmare by weeding out and eradicating any Doppelgangers that come to your window. But be careful! Even the most convincing impostors have tells.

How To Play That's Not My Neighbor's Nightmare Mode

While Nightmare Mode serves as a harder version of the base game, the good news is that the general layout of tasks is the same. In Nightmare Mode, you will have all of the same tools at your disposal in the Nightmare Office and you will use them the same way.

To familiarize yourself with the basic layout and function of all of your office tools, head to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Beginner's Guide for a more in-depth run down of how everything works.

Just like in the regular office, you have a phone, three file folders, a Daily Visitor List, the Viewing Window, Entry Request Forms, I.D.s, and a Checklist. Methodically use each of these diagnostic tools to determine which Nightmare Neighbors are the real deal, and which ones are Doppel♑gangers trying to eat youﷺ.

Differences From Arcade Mode

While the general premise of Nightmare Mode is the same as Arcade Mode, there are a few key differences to note.

The Nightmare Office

That's Not My Neighbor: The Nightmare Office in the midst of a crisis.

The first, and most noticeable difference you will encounter, is the new office. In Nightmare Mode, you won't be nearly as safe behind the window as you were in Arcade Mode, and the appearance of your office will reflect these new dangers.

The Nightmare Office is covered in gore and goo and has a few 'sentient' elements (like the four eye-ball rivets that probably aren't structurally soඣund) to it that 𒀰add to the macabre ambiance of your space.

For players with Trypophobia, make sure you've toggled the Trypophobia feature in the settings of the main menu. The Nightmare Office has a set of Trypophobia-triggering holes at the bottom right of the screen. Toggling the Trypophobia filter will cover these holes with gore so that they aren't as obvious.

Insta-Death

That's Not My Neighbor: The Doorman gets eaten by a Doppelganger.

The next major difference between Nightmare Mode and Arcade Mode is the implementation of Insta-Deaths.

In the regular mode, you wouldn't know if you let a Doppelganger in until the end of the round. However, in Nightmare Mode, Doppelgangers will murder you instantly upon being let into the building.

You'll know right away when you've made a mistake. Similarly, killing a Neighbor will result in a haunting, and you'll get a spooky jump-scare on your screen.

Make sure to be as thorough as possible when you are vetting visitors. If you're wrong, you won't get﷽ to play any more of the round.

Evil Visitors And The Killer Clown's Card Game

That's Not My Neighbor: The Killer Clown is upset the Doorman refused a game of cards.

Similar to how Arcade Mode had strange non-Neighbor visitors who would come to your window, Nightmare Mode has its own equivalents of those Neighbors as well.

However, you should be more wary of the new visitors in Nightmare Mode, as each one is more lethal than the last.

Evil Chester, is one of the nicer new characters, and he won't kill you if you lose his quiz, unlike the Killer💧 Clown, who will kill you for losing.

There are a bunch of new Doppelgangers to meet, so keep trying Nightmare Mode until you meet them all. Some have special encounters, like the Mask Ghost who appears three times.

The biggest visitor change is the Killer Clown. In Arcade Mode, the Killer Clown shows up, drops a pamphlet off, and leaves, but in Nightmare Mode, he offers you a game of cards.

Winning the Killer Clowns game or cards irritates him, but keeps you safe while losing results in losing the whole round... and your head.

Nightmare Neighbors

that's Not My Neighbor: Chaugnar waits at the window.

The Neighbors in Nightmare Mode are altogether much different from those in Arcade Mode. The new Neighbors are all spooky and even a little gory. However, despite their disturbing appearances, these Neighbors are still friendly and you still need to protect them from alien Doppelganger invaders.

Nightmare Neighbors have more complex appearances than regular Neighbors and catching cosmetic inconsistencies is much harder than in Arcade mode. Some Nightmare Neighbors like Chaugnar, have Doppelgangers whose appearance is only off by a barely-visible horn tip or incorrect tattoo.

Nightmare Neighbors correspond with regular Neighbors, but♏ their apartments and roommates won't always match up with their human counterparts.

Francis, for example, lives alone in Arcade Mode, but his Nightmare version, Sothoth, lives with his daughter.

No Ranking

That's Not My Neighbor: The Doorman gets their results after the Nightmare is over

Lastly, the final biggest difference is the fact that Nightmare mode does not affect your game rankings. You won't get a letter ranking at the end of your Nightmare. Instead, this game mode functions on a pass-fail system.

Dying, losing the quiz, losing the cardgame, or killing a Neighbor will result in a losꦑs at the end of the Nightmar💙e.

Winning the round means you beat the Nightmare successfull𒆙y. To do this, let all Neighbors i꧒n, and cleanse all Doppelgangers.

The fact that Nightmare Mode rounds don't affect your ranking is a good thing. With how difficult Nightmare Mode can get, it's better not to risk throwing off your letter ranking scoreboard with frequent failures. It also means you can experiment as much as you want in Nightmare Mode without ranking repercussions.

However, because you don't receive a letter ranking at the end of Nightmare Mode, you won't be able to earn achievements like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Worse Than Henry or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Better Than Henry while completing a Nightmare Mode run.

Nightmare Mode Achievements

Because Nightmare Mode brings with it a whole new set of challenges, so, too, does it bring with it a new set of achievements. There are eight Nightmare Mode achievements to collect in total, and you can find them on page two of your achievements screen in the Record menu.

You can still earn a few regular achievements while playing Nightmare Mode, but you cannot earn any Nightmare Mode achievements in the game's Arcade Mode. The only exception is the Collector achievement, which is earned by collecting all achievements iꦓn the game.
