Don’t worry too much about the scary headline. Terraria is still a fantastic game. But a brand-new mod, known as , integrates Terraria seamlessly into Minecraft. already did this a few years back, but rather than a total overhaul of the game we know🤡 and love, Confluence instead combines the two. There are still Minecraft mobs and progressio♈n, albeit with extra boss fights, exploration, and accessories.

The mod is still in its early stages of development right now, but it’s already seriously impressive thꦆanks to its several new biomes, multiple items and blocks, and sophisticated map generation for new structures. An upcoming update will introduce the Wall Of Flesh. I’ve got no idea how that boss fight is going to work without a world border and in 3D, but I’m sure as hell looking forward to finding out.

You can also easily combine other Minecraft mods alongside Confluence. This was always a bit trickier with Terrariacraft, as it essentially removed some key parts of the base version of𒁏 Minecraft. I recommend Sophisticated Backpacks, because there are a lot of new items to collect.

Terraria's Exploration In Minecraft

Confluence Otherworld Terraria In Minecraft

I’m a big fan of exploration in Minecraft - it’s always been the main reason I’ve played the game over the years, whether that was back in the d🌌ay with countless hours played long into the night, or in my more recent hyper-obsessions with the game that usually last around two weeks before dwindling again. Everyone goes through their two-week Minecraft phase.

I love collecting random blocks and items to decorate my home with. Every bell in every village gets yoinked, terracotta biomes are looted for their shiny, patterned rocks, and🔜 underground mine shafts are pillaged for miles of track to build a massive rollercoaster that cascades through the 🌼middle of my enormous, confusing house.

Which is also why I’ve always loved Terraria. It’s my most-played game on Steam. Terraria nails exploration: there’s always something more to discover, a new bi🌼ome to find, or an ultra-rare item that completely changes how you play. While Minecraft has plenty to find in its enormous world, Terraria has always had more depth and intricacy. Merging Terraria into Minecraft provides the sort of direction that I’ve thought the game has always been missing.

Some of my best memories in Minecraft have been emerging from a week underground with a backpack full of loot. The sun rises. The💛 music plays. It’s just bliss.

More Base Game Mechanics

Confluence: Overworld introduces several new biomes into Minecraft, inspired by Terraria. There are giant living trees with staircases that spiral down into the earth, enormous underground jungle biomes, and floating sky islands. Every cave is littered with loot, porting over Terraria’s random loot chests🤡 and underground houses. These are full of accessories that you can use. You can even get a Cloud In A Bottle to help you easily explore t🔯he new areas, one of Terraria’s most iconic items.

Each world has a chance to spawn with either The Crimson or The Corruption biome, with their own unique enemies and loot. You’ll find the altars underground, ꦫwhich allow you to craft boss summoning itꦍems - you can fight the Eye Of Cthulhu, summon the King Slime, and even tackle the Eater Of Worlds. Slimes roam the world and can be defeated for gel, which you can either eat or use to craft torches.

NPCs will also appear on top of your bed - NPC housing is a bitಌ buggy at the moment, but there’s a NPC house picker you can craft with three wooden blocks and three sticks. There are no chairs or tables in Minecraft but, as long as you have a bed and a big enough room, different NPCs will spawn, like the Nurse, Demolitionist, Merchant, and Dryad. You can purchase a bunch of items from them, just like you can in Terraria. It’s all neatly done.

If you love Terraria and have alway💟s wanted to experience it in 3D, the Confluence: Overworld mod is the clos🐠est you’ll probably ever get.
