Telltale's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Walking Dead was very influential when it came to narrative-focused games. Throughout four seasons and a couple of mini-series, the horror title tells a compelling tale filled with plenty of drama and choices. It isn't the happiest of adventures, though. The likes of Clementine and Lee are stuck in a post-apocalyptic world, so you expect bleakness.
Even so, the series takes it to the extreme by including almost non-stop misery and pain. Several of the saddest moments feature in this list of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the most heartbrea🦂king deaths in the series. However, most of the following moments aren't about people dying, but they're incredibly sad nonetheless.
8 The New Fron꧙tier Kicks🍨 Clementine Out Of The Group And Keeps AJ
Season three includes plenty of flashbacks showing what happened to Clementine between the second and third seasons. As this is The Walking Dead, there aren't many happy moments. The saddest scene is the one that sees Clementine ousted from The New Frontier.
She gets caught trying to steal medical supplies to help AJ, which the doctor tells her not to do as he doesn't think it'll help the sick child. After being found out, Clem is immediately kicked out of the group. That's bad enough, but what makes it even sadder is that they don't let her take AJ with her. So she has to make an emotional goodbye to the little kid, who ends the scene by calling out to her adoptive mother.
7 Clementine L🗹eaves Kenny To Join Wellingt꧅on
It's possible that the final scene of season two involves Clementine, Kenny, and AJ finally reaching Wellington. The location is known as a safe haven, so the team thinks they've finally reached a place they can call home. Unfortunately, though, the woman at the entrance claims they're at capacity.
Proving he is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a grump with a heart of gold, Kenny then convinces her to let Clem and AJ inside. The woman agrees to the terms, but Kenny has to convince Clem. It's up to you whether she agrees. If she does, you witness a tear-jerking scene where Clem and Kenny say goodbye before the latter walks away in the wilderness alone.
6 Michonne's Daughters Attempt To Stop Her From Leaving
Throughout Michonne's mini-series, she is haunted by visions and hallucinations of her lost family. She was separated from them when the apocalypse started, and she hasn't seen them since. Understandably, she regrets ever leaving them in the first place. And their last moments together are depicted in a scene later in the game.
During the sequence, the young girls beg their mother to stay home. Michonne can choose to remain with her girls this time, but it isn't real. No matter what she does, she can't change what happened that faithful day, nor see her kids again. This knowledge makes the scene hit so hard.
5 🌳 🐬 Louis Loses His Tongue
One of the most difficult choices in the entir🍬e Walking Dead series occurs in the final season when Clementine has to decide between stopping the capture of Louis or Violet. Later, Clem stages a rescue mission for the one that does get captured. Yet, the crew can't get there in time to protect their loyal companion from all harm. In Louis' case, Jane's crew cuts his tongue out. It's brutal and heartbreaking to witness.
Before this, he was a charismati꧙c, witty, and talkative guy. So, by taking his tongue and making him unable to speak, they took away a large part of his personality and id💃entity. Plus, the incident unsurprisingly traumatized him.
4 ও Clementine Sees Her Parents ꦺ
When Lee first finds Clementine, she is home alone, as her parents are on a trip, and she is with her a now-dead babysitter. A series of messages left by Clem's mother makes it seem like their fortunes aren't great, either. But for much of the first season, Clementine still believes she will see them again. And she does, albeit not in the way she wanted.
Towards the end of the first season, Lee and Clem are making their way through a horde of Walkers until Clem suddenly sees her parents among the horde. Naturally, they're full-blown walkers, and it's heartbreaking that the poor girl has to see them that way.
3 Lee And Kenny Find A Child Walker ꧅
While in Savannah during the fourth episode of season one, the main crew finds a big house to use as a shelter. While scoping it out, Lee and Kenny head up to the attic, where th💮ey witness a tragic sight.
They find a young boy turned walker. It's immediately evident that the child starved to death before transforming into a monster. The thought that the kid had to experience a slow death while hiding alone in the attic is heartbreaking. To make matters worse, the child looks a lot like Kenny's recently deceased son, Duck.
2 Clementine Gets Bitten 🧔
While there are multiple playable characters in the series, Clementine is definitely the main protagonist. And throughout the games, you get to witness her growth from a small child to an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:incredible zombie survivor. However, despite excelling at survival, even she can't avoid infection forever.
In the final chapter, she gets bit. And through the rest of the finale, she gets more and more infected. It's absolutely devastating. Little AJ's reaction to seeing his protector get weaker makes it even more tear-jerking. Her eventual survival softens this moment a little bit in hindsight. But on your first playthrough, it's one of the saddest moments in video game history.
1 Lee's Turn
Lee is among the most likable protagonists in gaming, so it's easy to grow attached to the man. And The Walking Dead uses that affinity to break every player's heart at the end of the first season.
In the fourth episode, Lee gets bitten and infected by a walker. He can't let it stop him, though, as he needs to save the recently kidnapped Clementine. Along the way, the infection continues to get worse. Eventually, it gets too much, and he has no strength to proceed. In his final moments, he gives Clem a few more lessons in survival. Watching the deterioration of the man and the fact poor Clem has to witness it is brutal. She has the choice of whether to put him out of his misery or let him turn. Neither outcome is a happy one, and you're guaranteed to end the scene heartbroken.
