Central to the Tekken storyline, the Mishima family is much like the series itself: driven by spectacular conflict, ridiculously complica𒉰ted, and just zany enough to teach a bear karate. Numerous Mishima family members have appeared in the various King of Iron Fist tournaments, ranging from key characters like Heihachi to more recent additions to the series like Kazumi.

Not counting honorary members such as Kuma and Kuma II (the aforementioned bears trained by Heihachi), there have been eight total fighters that belong to the Mishima clan in the maiܫnline Tekken games. While some definitely play a more frequent role in the overarching story than others, they’ve all made their mark on a series, known for thrilling martial arts combat with a side of spontaneous devil wing 🅠growth.

8 ꩲ ꧃ Jinpachi Mishima

Jinpachi Mishima in the Tekken series

The father of Heihachi and the final boss in Tekken 5, Jinpachi is responsible for founding the Mishima Zaibatsu. This is the organization that bankrolls the King of Iron Fist tournaments, meaning Jinpachi is indirectly responsible for creating a reason for Tekken’s varied combatants to face off in🌌 the first place. Ownership of the Mishima Zaibatsu also constantly changes hands throughout the series — usually depending on whether Heihachi or Kazuya is the main antagonist of that particular entry.

Outside of his actions before the events of the series proper, Jinpachi’s only notable appearance is in the fifth game where he’s possessed by a spirit of vengeance and tries to eliminate his descendants because he considers the Mishima bloodline to be cursed. As someone possessed by a demon, ⛦he is uniquely qualified to make this assessment. Since being defeated by his great-grandson Jin, he’s only appeared in spin-offs like Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

7 🔯 ဣ Lee Chaolan

Lee Chaolan in the Tekken series

Lee Chaolan’s backstory makes him a character with quite a lot of potential. He was adopted and raised by Heihachi to be the rival of his biological son, Kazuya. Lee ultimately left the Mishima clan on less tꦉhan friendly terms while Kazuya and Heihachi were fighting for control of the Mishima Zaibatsu. As of Tekken 7, he’s living his ൩best life as CEO of Violet Systems, a company that makes fighting robots.

Although he continues to be a key player in the story of Tekken, his status as Kazuya’s rival has been more or less completely taken over by Jin. That said, Lee is still a fan-favorite✅ with a distinct moveset that borrows from multiple schools of martial arts. And, more importantly, he has an S-tier sense of style.

6 💫 Jun Kazama

Jun Kazama in the Tekken series

The mother of Jin Kazama, Jun’s connection to the Mishima family starts with Kazuya. While the exact nature of her relationship to Kazuya isn’t directly addressed in the series, it’s safe to say it was complicated. As is apparent in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Tekken: Bloodline anime, Jun is one of the rare Mishima family members who isn’t bent on world dominati꧙on in one way or another. She’s also the first person to train Jin and sets him on his path to find Heihachi.

In terms of playable appearaꦚnces, Jun Kazama has been almost completely absent from the Tekken games since the second entry with one significant exception. She’s appeared in🧜 both Tekken Tag Tournaments, and the final boss in those games, Unknown, is meant to be a non-canonical alternate version of Jun.

5 𝔍 Lars Al♚exandersson

Lars Alexandersson in the Tekken series

Introduced in Tekken 6 as the protagonist of that game, Lars is the illegitimate son of Heihachi, making him Kazuya&🐲rsquo;s half-brother. On the more heroic side of the family tree, Lars initially led the Tekken Force in an attempt to end a worldwide conflict by both taking over the Mishima Zaibatsu and defeating Jin Kazama. Lars later allies himself with Jin as well as Lee Chaolan during the events of the seventh game.

With a lightning fast fighting style that includes electrꩲicity-based strikes, Lars has a moveset that’s flashy, even by Tekken standards. He also appeared as a guest character in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, where his techniques are on full display.

4 Kazumi Mishim🅰a 🐲

Kazumi Mishima in the Tekken series

A member of the Hachijo clan, Kazumi was the wife of Heihachi and the one who passed down the Devil Gene to her son Kaz🔯uya and grandson Jin. While she first appeared in Tekken 7, Kazumi has already cemented her place as a central character in the story of Heihachi as well as the series as a whole.

The Devil Gene itself is one of the most recognizable 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:transformations in fighting games. Granting an owner of the g⛦ene supernatural strength, Devil forms grant fighters a range of abilities in-game, including laser eyes, flight, and — in Kazumi’s case — the power to summon a tiger spirit.

3 🐲 Jin Kazama⛦

Jin Kazama in the Tekken series

The closest to a main character that the Tekken series has, Jin Kazama was raised unaware of the Mishima family conflict until the death of his mother, Jun. After setting out to find his💖 grandfather Heihachi, Jin began on a journey that would see him cross paths with just about every major character in the Tekken series.

Recently, Jin appeared as the protagonist of the Tekken: Bloodline anime. Loosely based on the events of Tekken 3, this series covers Jin’s training under Heihach🧸i, his battles in the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and the💜 awakening of his Devil Gene.

2 ജ 🦹 Kazuya Mishima

Kazuya Mishima in the Tekken series

Cool 💧abilities aside, Kazuya is ruthless, arrogant, cold-hearted, and just really a jerk. But in fairness, his father did throw him off a cliff. As the son of Heiꦐhachi and father of Jin, Kazuya is part of not one, but two of the greatest rivalries in the series. And with the power of the Devil Gene, he’s declared himself an enemy of the entire Tekken world — and also of an Akuma-shaped fragment of the Street Fighter world.

It’s also worth noting that he finally defeated his father in Tekken 7. However, his true victory came a few years later, when he was added to the roster of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super🏅 Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character. ༒Heihachi, meanwhile, was left to rot in 2012’s Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal.

1 H♉🍃eihachi Mishima

Heihachi Mishima looks somber in Tekken 7

One of the most recognizable characters in the entire fighting genre, Heihachi is at the center of the Mishima family’s conflict. He trainꩵed his grandson Jin Kazama, imprisoned his father Jinpachi (and seize🌺d control of his company), brought the Devil Gene into his family through his marriage to Kazumi, and got a permanent ban from the father-of-the-year award ceremony when he threw his son, Kazuya, off a cliff.

Even without a Devilꦡ💯 transformation, Heihachi is a spectacular character that oozes intensity. Also, he shows a bear how to do wall-combos for some reason, which is just great. Although the ending of Tekken 7 was a fitting — and seemingly definitive — send-off for such an infamous figure, there’s no guarantee that Heihachi won’t find a way to Demon Uppercut his way back to the top.
