Tekken 8 has easily become the peak of the series for many reasons. One of them is its story mode, with a fun story that is well eꦦxecuted all the way, giving a nice time to shine to a few characters, fixing some writing issues with our main boy, Jin, and concluding a main feud in the saga while also opening a few doors for future troubles.

All that said, it's always natural to be curious about certain details and how things may or may not unfold in the future, especially in a game that does significant changes to the overall story and the character dynamics.

Are They Gone?

When Kazuya announced the King of the Iron Fist Tournament, he declared that the losers would be killed, and their countries would be decimated. And to be fair, the tournament didn't go beyond the first round of matches, as the rebellious group Yggdrasil and the UN attacked Kazuya.

Still, there were the preliminary matches, and Raven witnessed the destruction of an unspecified location while talking to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:his boss, Victor, and both talked about how🐭 s𒅌ome countries were attacked. Does the Tekken world have fewer countries now?

Are We Still Having Tournaments?

When watching the recap videos from previous games, they state that Kazuya destroyed the Zaibatsu, which answers some questions here - the tournament is held by G Corporation this time around (There is a Mishima Tournament in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Character Episodes sections, but we can't consider these episodes as canon). Still, will the Mishima Zaibatsu, the main MacGuffin of most of the series, be gone for good?

And, now that Kazuya is defeated, what will happen to G Corporation, a company that was at war against the entire world? And if aꦏll these big companies are gone, will there be future tournaments as part of the story, or is this chapter over as well? We could always ask Lee to hold a tournament of his own, after all - if that makes sense to the story, of cꦇourse.

4 Asuka And Jin's Relationship

Where Is Our Third Kazama From?

It was often assumed that Asuka Kazama was a cousin to Jin, though it was unclear whether she was directly related to Jun or if Jin and Asuka were, in fact, distant cousins. This information has been stated as false by Harada himself (the series producer) for many years now, but the game's story mode quickly puts the topic into the spotlight, only to dismiss it shortly after.

Thanks to her obsession with Asuka, Lili has the Kazama family tree in her possession, which shows by Asuka's reaction that she has no idea who Jun is, making it clear that they are indeed distant relatives, to the point they don't even know one another. Still, what is the dynamic here, and will that become more relevant in the future now that Jun is back?

There Is More To Tekken Than Mishimas

While Tekken 8 has reached its peak in the series' storytelling department, having a storyline in Tekken is nothing new. Every game has a storyline, and it's common to have multiple stories for the side characters, as simple as they are; Tekken 8 doesn't offer much more for them than the Character Episodes, which, while fun, don't show canon events for them.

Meanwhile, lots of side stories have been on hold for a while, such as Law's permanent debt situation, Lars and Alisa's love story (even teased in their Character Episodes), Yoshimitsu and Bryan's feud, King, Marduk and Armor King's feud (only King is here), and so on. A simple conclusion to these events would be a nice touch.

Jun's appearance throughout the game is sort of enigmatic, to the point it's even unclear whether she's alive or a ghost. We only have a clear answer (she's alive) due to an extra cutscene in the gallery that explains her situation, but that said, she appears near Kazuya after he's defeated.

Considering how Jun is, she's not going to finish him off but rather help him out. What does this mean for the character moving forward? Are we going to have a redemption arc for the worst person in the series? Or will Kazuya continue his evil plans even without a devil to rely on? Kazuya's story can go in quite a few directions now, and we can't wait to see what will happen to him, along with the possibility of having Jun as a more important character story-wise in Tekken 9.

And Why Is She A Devil?

Reina started the game as a mysterious character and ended as a less mysterious character, but with still a few secrets hanging on. She has a clear motivation now: avenge her father, Heihachi Mishima, meaning she'll likely go for Kazuya's head in the next game, possibly becoming the main antagonist, which could lead to interesting dynamics, such as Jin and Kazuya having to fight side by side against the last Devil.

However, her backstory remains unknown. Where is she from, and why is she a Devil? Did Heihachi get involved with yet another Devil woman out there (which would imply more Devil families in the world)? Was she created in a lab using 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Devil Gene? Did Heihachi even know about Reina? There is still a lot of key information about how this character came to be, and it is annoying how it'll likely take years to get some answers in this regard.
