The studio showcased the Kazuya sneakers along with a similar Jin Kazama design during EVO 2024 via an in-game trailer, the two fighters on which the sneaker designs are based🅰 as well as a few others wearing them while doing their thing in Tekken 8.
Bandai confirmed that the in-game Nike crossover will go live this September, hinting that there will be more to come. As for the real things, attendees at EVO were given the chance to purchase the Kazuya sneakers. , the site that revealed the crossover in the first place and provided the first images, continues to report that both the Kazuya and Jin sneakers will be released and that both pairs will be available to buy through Nike and SNKRS for $250 each starting in September, probably at the same time as the in-game crossover goes live. Both pairs are part of Nike's Foamposite range which is both very popular and very limited, likely meaning if there is going to be physical stock of this footwear, it won't be available for long.
Jin And Kazuya's Nike Foamposites In-Game And In Real Life
Although part of the same line, and modeled after fighters from the same game, the designs for each pair of sneakers are quite different. The Kazuya trainers have been designed to look like they are an extension of the fighter's coat, a material made to look like blue crocodile skin wrapped around them. The Jin pair has the same Foamposite core design with white material in place of the faux crocodile skin on the Kazuya pair, with lightning detailing etched into it.
2024 has been a great year so far for fans of themed sneakers, although Nike hasn't been getting in on that fun all that much until now.
