Furthermore, if you're looking for a more ominous and vicious take on this fighting style, Devil Jin will deliver everything you want and then some. It makes for one of the most exhilarating and aggressive playstyles in the game, which is equally as flashy as it is evil. Devil Jin may not be a new concept in the world of Tekken, but with his new 🅠Stance and the new systems and mechanics, he may be a bit different than you expect!

Devil Jin Overview

Devil Jin laughing maniacally in Tekken 8.

While Devil Jin is an exceptionally cool character, he is naturally going to be one of the more complex and complicated characters to play in Tekken 8, thanks to him possessing the typical Mishima and Kazama actions, forcing you to hit 'Just Frames*' in order to get the most out of his kit.

Furthermore, Devil Jin has access to several stances, which can be a bit hard to master. While his new 'Mourning Crow Stance' makes him far easier to play than ever before, the fact that you still have to utilize his 'Wind God Step' to execute some of his better offensive options makes him a poor choice for newcomers.

Devil Jin is flashy, fun, and robust but can be very complex and technical for beginners. He has a high skill ceiling that makes him rewarding to play and learn but he doesn't have a low enough floor to recommend for players new to the genre or series. If you have theಞ time and energy to train and grind the online modes, he will teach you the ins and outs of the game. Just prepare to lose a lot in the early goings!

*🌱 - Just Frames refers to moves you must perform with frame-perfect exec💛ution and timing to get the most out of them. Being just a little off will result in a different outcome, typically offering far less damage or combo routing!

Devil Jin Tips And Tricks

Tekken-8-Devil-Jin-Victory-Screen

Finally, to close things out, we will leave you with a few more tips and tricks that will - hopefully - allow you to get a bit more out of Devil Jin and make him slightly more accessible. Again, he will be one of the more challenging characters to learn, thanks to the nature of his Wind God Step mechaniওc.

Like we mentioned at the very start of this guide, Devil Jin's new Mourning Crow Stance (f 3) makes him much more easier to play than ever before, and we weren't exaggerating. While he will still be challenging once you have to execute Wind God Step, this will be an excellent tool to use b𒁃efore you master that aspect.

His f 3, 1 attack leaves him plus eight on block, making it an excellent way to close the gap on your opponent, enabling you to punish your opponent if they attempt attacking immediately after. Furthermore, his u/f 1 is also an excellent option to throw out, as it also leaves him plus on block, leaving him in theཧ advantage, making him a pressure monster!
