Asgall, who at first seems like a normal soldier, suffers from aging but doesn’t usually show it until he challenges you to a duel for fun and realizes how weak he has become. This is where you come in to help him somehow bring ba🎐ck his youth.
How To Start The Old Bones, New Fire Quest
You need to complete three bounties from the bounty board at Cuanacht before you can start Old Bones, New Fire.
If you’re curious how to do so, simply approach the bounty board located northwest and pick🔯 them up from the board.
These will point you toward t🔯he direction of the enemies that you need to defeat, but be aware these are usually tough enemies, so be pr✅epared.
After you defeat them, make sure you collect the proof and then hand it over to Asgall, who can 🦄be found just near the bo꧒nfire around the bounty board.
When this process is complete, Asgall will ask you for a duel, so accept and fight. You do not need to kill him, bu🎀t you just need to get his healthಌ very low.
If you accidentally deal a lot of damage and kill him ꦜimmediately, the quest might glitch.
At the end of the duel, Asgall will mention that he has become weak and wants to feel stronger. While your initial suggestions do not seem to knock his alley, when you suggest magic it will grab his attention.
He will ask you to fetch him a potion or an elixir that will enhance his power, but he does not know exactly from whom you can get it. He suggests three different people whom you can consult for that.
Each of these three people will have a different remedy for Asgall depending on what they believe, but you can🔥 only pick one medicine to give to Asgall, so there will be a choice to make here.
However, keep in mind that ♌it seems there is no change in the reward you get or any additionꦜal reward.
How To Get The Potion For Asgall
Ailei Choice: Vigor Tea
Ailei can be found at the hospital, and when you tell her about your situation, she will suggest that you need to follow the natu💞ral way to enhance strength, but he needs to put in the effort and take the herbal tea she will give him regularly.
The recipe for the potion she gave is Vigor Tea and requires two ingredients: Wolfsbane and Milkweed. You can craft it at any alchemy station or from your fuꦰeled bonfire.
After you craft this, you can head back to Asgall, tell him about Ailei’s advice, and give him the Vigor. While he might not bඣe fully convinced about the solution you g﷽ot for him, he will accept it and try it to see how it goes.
Erwin Choice: Anti-Aging Medicine
The second possible route is Erwin, who can be found in the marketplace area. Speak to him at ꦕhis shop stand and tell him about the issue at h𒈔and.
Erwin will suggest that you need to follow science and get a potion that might have some side effects. He will give you the recipe for it. The potion is Anti-Aging Medicine and requires Moonshine, Mistletoe, and Burdock Root.
As before, head to any alchemy station or fueled bonfire to craft the potion. Take it back to Asgall, and he will admit this is more of the stuff he likes, as it worked immediately and he’ll be ꦐhappy with this medicine.
Vrell Choice: Elixir Of Youth
The last possible route for this quest is to go to Vrell and visit her at her bookstore. When you explain the situation, she will mention that yes, there is an elixir like the one he heard of, but it’s from a secret tribe, so she will not share it with you.
However, she will give you a random recipe for a potion that will not really work for Asgall called Elixir of Youth. To craft it, you need Moonshine, Carnation, and Sage.
After you craft it, head to Asgall and give it to him. He will lik𝓀e the feeling of it, but the potion does literally nothing, which proves the p💎lacebo effect and satisfies him.
