I totally understand if your brain starts to shut down when I mention a game that is a MOBA, a Battle Royale, and a Hero Shooter. It's a jumble of jargon and an eclectic combination of genres that sounds like every popular game of the last decade mashed together with a food processor. Months Of Work And International Success
Theorycra♑ft Games has been quietly plugging away at Supervive since its early access launch back in November 2024. The game launched to mild fanfare, hitting a peak concurrent player count of 47,000 players.
Since then, player numbers have plummeted, with the game going into its full launch month with less than a thousand players on average. I've already written about the problems Supervive has ✱faced over the past year, a🌠nd I'm really hoping that the 1.0 release has enough juice to revi༒ve the playerbase.
The game has seen som🔥e big successes internationally, however, which suggests to me that the game is going to have a much bigger audience once 1.0 rolls around. The closed beta test for the Chinese versi💎on of the game reached over one million registrations in the region. Supervive will launch in both China and Korea for its global release.
What's New In 1.0?
There's a lot of new stuff in 1.0, but for now, most of it's pretty secret. We kno🐬w the game is receiv🌱ing major overhauls to almost all of its key mechanics, from gameplay to hero balance to graphical fidelity.
This isn't the first time the game has received reworks from the ground up, 🔴and I doubt it'll be the last, but it's great to see the developers continue tweaking the game to get the most out of their excellent formula.
We do know that a new he♛ro is coming to the game: Wukong. As a MOBA, it's pretty much doctrine to have a Wukong-esque character in the game at this po🌄int, so I'm happy to see everyone's favorite king of the monkeys appear once again.
