If you step on the rock at the start of the musical pond, you'll see a Tadpole emerging from the pond and swimming to the right. The Tadpole will move six times when it emerges from the water until it touches the wall to the right. With that in mind, you can put numbers on each Tadpole step.

When a Tadpole touches the wall to the right, it'll start swimming to the left.

The first moment when the Tadpole you are about to step on emerges from the water will be step one. Then, you must start counting whenever the Tadpole moves. The last step will be step seven.

Then, when the Tadpole you are about to step on moves back to the left, you must start counting from seven to one. This is if you didn't jump the first time, so you don't need to restart the puzzle.
