Collecting moons in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey is the main goal of the game, and the ways Moons can be discovered and earned range massively. In one case players will be sitting next to a man on a bench in the Metro Kingdom to earn a Moon, while in another, they'll control a T-Rex possessed by Mario and have to smash their way to the objective.
The hint arts are one of Odyssey's more subtle ways of earning Moons, with 12 of the game's kingdoms having hidden images that reveal the location of a Moon in another kingdom. They have some rather creative art, and you can find all of their locations here.
Updated April 28, 2023, by Sean Murray: If you're still looking at those art pieces looking for hints, we got some more hints. And we've also updated this guide with some formatting tweaks and a table of contents to make it easier to find the Moons you've missed.
Cap Kingdom
The first hint art in Super Mario Odyssey is funnily enough for one of the last kingdoms in the game. The art itself is located near the large bridge which leads to the Top Hat Tower and is of severﷺal ওcubic figures looking toward the Earth.
Where could this Moon be? On the actual Moon no less, meaning a trip to the Moon Kingdom is in order. Upon arrival, there should be a group of characters from some of the game's kingdoms looking toward Earth, with the moon being in front of a Lochlady. Just ground pound in front oꦡf her and the Moon will be yours🗹.
Sand Kingdom
The hint art in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sand Kingdom is also fairly easy to spot. It's located at the back of the slots building in Tostarena Town. This hint art shows a Crazy Cap Shop and a checkpoint flag, with two numbered arrows pointing toward a Power Moon. It's one of the more obscure hint arts in the game, but the Moon itself is located in Bowser's Kingdom.
In Bowser's Kingdom, travel to the Crazy Cap Shop and ground pound on the stepping stone six steps away from the shop to collect this Power Moon.
Lake Kingdom
This hint art is located on a stairwell near the center of the Lake Kingdom and upon closer inspection displays two pictures of a Blue Toad in the Cascade Kingdom. In the second of the two images, an extra fossil is present. A ground pound on this spot will reveal thཧe Power Moon♊.
Wooded Kingdom
Upon landing in the Wooded Kingdom, run into the woods behind the Odyssey and you should find this hint art behind a tree. It shows a Koopa Troopa complete with a sombrero, and an arrow pointing toward an 'X' mark next to two bushes.
The sombrero and sandy spots clearly show this♈ Moon is 🌳in the Sand Kingdom, so hop back in the Odyssey and head in that direction. Upon arrival, travel north to the edge of the map and ground pound on the two dead bushes located there to collect the Moon.
Metro Kingdom
Donk City is full of Power Moons, and for good reason; 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:they power the city. Head up to the New Donk City Hall, look southwest and the triangle-shaped building in view will have a hint art located on the side of it, quite close to the top. This art shows Poochy sniffing a glowing spot in the Lake Kingdom.
This spot is close to the pillars located at the top of the plaza building. As always,💯 ground po🐼und on the spot in question to find another Moon.
Snow Kingdom
After arriving in Shiveria through the well, turn left and the hint art should be located right on the wall next to some boxes. It shows Poochy again, but this time he is near a tree with some coin rings and a Wiggler in the foreground.
Head to the Lost Kingdom, then to the propeller platforms. Ground pounding the roots of the tree near the Wiggler should make the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Power Moon pop up and let Mario collect it.
Seaside Kingdom
This is a fairly simple hint art to find, which is fitting since the Seaside Kingdom has some 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Moons that are really hard to a♛cquire. Simply head west from the Odyssey's landing spot, and it should be easy to spot the painting on the cliff ledge. The art says 'KEEP', and is linked to the road markings in New Donk City.
The markings are on the main street in the city, and ground-pounding above the first 'E' should reveal the Power Moon.
Luncheon Kingdom
To find the Luncheon Kingdom hint art, climb the purple cliffs behind the shop and you'll see the art. It depicts another Poochy, this time sniffing some glowing coral in the Seaside Kingdom.
This spot is obviously underwater, with pl🐽ayers needing to search for the coral in question and then, as always, ground pounding to reveal the Power Moon.
Bowser's Kingdom
This hint art is in the main courtyard of Bowser's Kingdom, hidden on a wall to the left of the gate. Poochy's back again, and this time he is sniffing a patch of dirt near a cactus. Of course, this is in the Sand Kingdom — more specifically the area where the sunglasses-wearing Moe-Eye are located.
Travel west from here to find the cactus and bushes in question. Make sure to ground pound the shadow of the cactus, and a Power Moon will pop up from the ground.
Moon Kingdom
This hint art is practically impossible to miss, being located in the chapel where Bowser plans to marry Princess Peach. Poochy makes yet another appearance, standing over a glowing spot in the Wooded Kingdom with a scarecrow on the left-hand side.
The Moon itself is near the entrance to the Iron Road. Climb the hill, but just before hopping on the moving platforms, go left under the archway and around the corner. The scarecrow should be visible from here, so ground pound the spot Poochy was sniffing💜 and a Power Moon will appear.
Mushroom Kingdom
The Mushroom Kingdom hint art is found in Peach's Castle on the right-hand side of the bottom floor. It depicts a black hat tower, with a yellow circle in the backdrop, clearly indicating the Cap Kingdom.
Head back to the game's first kingdom, and on the main bridge, line up the tower and Moon in the same way and then grounꦜd pound on the spo🍒t to collect the Power Moon.
Dark Side
The Dark Side has ten different hint arts, with each leading to a Power Moon in different Kingdoms. They are all located in the same area of the Dark Side: an island called Rabbit Ridge. Settle in, because there are💛 almost as many in this one spot as the rest of the game combined.
Dark Side Hint Art 1
The first Hint Art in the Dark Side, this art can be found on the side of the vegetable rock formation closest to the Spark Pylon. The art shows Poochy next to a glowing spot in the Cascade Kingdom.
Head past the location of the Kingdom's boss fight and climb the raised hill. At this point, the spot in question should be easily visible. A simple ground pound on t🐽he glowing spot will reveal a Power Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 2
Hidden behind an apple rock on Rabbit Ridge, the second hint art depicts a helipad with a yellow pillar to the right, complete with a Power Moon. Travel to New Donk City, head to the helipad, and g🥃round pound the spot at th꧟e top of the yellow outlines to discover the Power Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 3
This hint art is on a rock vegetable near the first raised platform and shows a grid with green and white squares, two purple coins, and a Power Moon. It's a bit hard to figure this one out, but it's a stylized image of the hedges that can be found in the Mushroom Kingdom.
The hedges in question are in the northwest of the Kingdom. After figuring out which side is which, head to the spot on the left side of the hedges and ground pound to reveal the Power Moon.
The purple coins will be a big help🐽 in finding this Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 4
This hint art is fairly close to the third one, on the rock wall leading up to the next level on the island. It's a rather cryptic hint, showing a circle of moon cycles with the Power Moon overlayed on the half-moon on the left side.
Head to the Cloud Kingdom's main area, and locate the correct half-moon platform before ground pound꧂ing i🔯n the middle of it to collect the Power Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 5
This art is slightly hidden, lying on a lower ledge on the east side of Rabbit Ridge's first platform. It shows a wreath based on the characters Mario meets in the Snow Kingdom, on top of an archway.
Head back to Shiveria and toward where the races take place, then use Cappy to get up to the top of the arch, and ground pound the spot above the wr꧅eath for a ꦛPower Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 6
To find this hint art, head to the spot near the binoculars and the art should be in view from here. This hint art sends players on a bit of a scavenger hunt in the Seaside Kingdom, with four different locations.
After arriving in the Seaside Kingdom, find the Talkatoo in the resort. The binoculars should be visible from here and looking through them in the direction of Hot Springs Island will reveal three umbrellas.
From the umbrellas, look south to see the two stone pillars at the bottom of the canyon. Ground-pounding the spac𝔍e betwജeen the pillars will reveal the Power Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 7
This is another obscure hint art, although it's quite easy to find, being located on one of the upper platforms in Rabbit Ridge. All the art i🐬tself shows is two different types of ground, as well as a shadow — vဣery mysterious.
If the color of the ground doesn't give it away, this Moon is in the Lost Kingdom, on the cliffs near the first bridge players encounter. Just search for the spot where the ground meets up in ♚the same way it does in the picture and ground p🦹ound the shadow created by the tree.
Dark Side Hint Art 8
A fairly easy-to-locate hint art, the eigth Dark Side art is hanging on the wall leading to the highest platform on the middle island. This art is a spot-the-difference puzzle, with the photo on the right missing a blue Volbonan by the pillars on the right-hand side. Head to this spot in the Luncheon Kingdom, and ground pound to reveal the Power Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 9
Hint art nine is on the same wall as number eight, just on the far right side. It depicts a series of pillars, with three broken ones and a Moon resting between the last two. These pillars are located in the underwater plaza in the Lake Kingdom, so head to the l🌜ast two and ground pound the space between them for a Moon.
Dark Side Hint Art 10
The Dark Side's last hint art is found at the back of the highest platform, behind some rock vegetables, and sh𝄹ows Poochy sniff💦ing a golden spot with a dark rocky wall behind him.
Take a trip to the Ruined Kingdom, home of the infamous dragon boss fight, and upon arrival, walk forward into the part of the path that drops down. Line up the ground pound with the glowing spot i🅠n the image and a Power Moon will pop out.
