Season One of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is here, and with it comes the game's first new playable villain: the Joker. This may be a surprise to some players, given that something happens with the Arkham universe's Joker, but this༒ is a completely different person. The Joker joining Task Force X is from an alternate dimension, or Elseworld, that had previously been invaded by Brainiac.

Confusing origin aside, this Joker is fun to play, with his explosive umbrella rocketing you around Metropolis. Unlocking him can take quite a while, unfo♔rtunately, so prepare yourself for the grind ahead.

What Is Fear Rank?

Fear rank 35 in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Season One introduces the concept of episode rank, yet another progression system for you to monitor as you complete missions with your squad. The first episode, Fear, introduces a new nexus and is based around the Batman villain Scarecrow. As you complete missions in the open world, your Fear rank will go up, and you can ch🌞eck what rank you are by pausing ꦿthe game.

You must be Fear rank 35 to unlock the mission to free Joker. In order to reach this level, you will have to take on missions in the world, each one slowly contributing to your progress.

To decrease the grind, be on the lookout for missions with an orange +1 or +2 next to them; they will reward more Fear ra🅰nk 𒁏experience than normal.

Every time you rank up, you'll also receive free in-game rewards, ranging from simple e🐭xperience points to infamous weapo🍒ns.

Fight Brainiac (Again)

Green Lantern Brainiac in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

After you've made it to rank 35, you'll be able to challenge your second Brainiac. Whereas the Brainiac at the end of the campaign assumed the form of the Flash, this one mimics Green Lantern. As such, your st꧋rategy to beat him is th𝔍e same as when you took on the real GL during the story.

Dodge his attacks and shoot at his constructs. This will wear down his shield, 🎃eventually leaving him vulnerable to your bullets. After you've depleted his health bar, you'll be treated to some cutscenes showing Task Force X taking Joꦿker back to your world, and you'll be able to play as the Harlequin of Hate.

How To Add Joker To Your Party

Joker will not be immediately added to your rotation of playable characters, since you can only have four at a time and he's the fifth. To change your party composition, speak with Rick Flag in the Hall of Justice, pick the squad member you'd like to bench, and plug Joker in. Enjoy sowing chaos as thꦏe greatest comic book villain of all time!
