It hasn't been the smoothest ride for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League so far. The game was maligne♑d for its lack of content at release, with both critics and fans disappointed by its paltry offerings. Rocksteady hopes to remedy some of these issues with the launch 🦄of its first season of post-launch support.

This season's biggest pull is undeniably the first new playable character, the Clown Prince of Crime himself, Joker. There's also a smattering of new mission🐻s to grind and gear to collect, honoring the looter-shooter tradition of repeating objectives in order to get th♌e latest and greatest loot.

A New Playable Character: The Joker

The Joker marks Suicide Squad's first new member added after launch. He may not be the same character players met in other Arkham games (he's from a different universe),ಌ but he still has the Clown's trademar🍸k whimsy and sense of humor.

After unlocking him, you'll be able to traverse the map with his explosive umbrella, which allows him to rocket through the air and skate along the surface of buildings. Joker can wield pistols, shotguns, and assault rifles.

New Elseworld Incursions

New Weapons And Gear

The first episode of Season One, Fear, is themed around the Batman villain Scarecrow. The Fear nexus rewards infamous gear modeled after him, many of which are equipped with the new poison status effect, whic🎐h deaℱls damage over time at the cost of enemies dropping fewer shields.

With the release of Season One comes Suicide Squad's first battle pass. The omnipresent monetization practice seems to find its way into every live service game, and Rocksteady's project is no🔯 exception.

The pass has 76 tiers, none of which feature any items that affect gameplay. Cosmetics dominate most of the unlockables, like skins and masks, but some are premium currency. Each tier is unlocked by collecting battle pass experience points, which are awarded by completing objectives.
