While flying down to planet 4546B in a hijacked passenger shuttle, a meteor shower is ongoing. This all goes wrong when an asteroid smashes into Robin's shuttle, and her shuttle co⛄mes crashing down 🅰into the snow.
The Disturbance - The Story Gets Deeper
After Robin crash-lands into the snow, she finds herself in Sector Zero, the area of t🥃his planet where the game takes place. She finds her way into the water to get to a drop pod that was deployed when she crashed.
Soon after that, she gets a distress signal in Morse code from an unknown source that she investigates. What she discovered was an alien sanctuary that contained a consciousness of a Precursor that spokeꦓ to her.
A New Best Friend - Goodbye PDA, Hello Alan!
The voice introduced itself as Al-An and explained t𝔉hat it wanted a storage system because the sanctuary's power was almost gone.
Robin suggests that it could transfer itself into her PDA (Perso𝓀nal Digital Assistant), but right before the 🍎power to the sanctuary went out, Al-An forcibly transfers its consciousness into her brain, the cerebral cortex to be precise.
The Lady On The Island - Welcome To The Island
After this, Robin agrees to search the planet for artifacts and alien installations just to find the required components🔥 and 🏅materials for Al-An to transfer its consciousness into a newly built body.
During their search, Robin's PDA leads them to Delta Island. While exploring Delta Island, Robin re♛ceives a threatening message that says that they're trespassing and, if they know what's best for them, to leave. This was our introduction to Marguerite Maida.
Marguerite Maida - Another Friend Approaching?

Robin hacks into Marguerite's base still, as she's determined to befriend her. Robin is confident that Marguerite is just cranky because she's been living on this planet alone for too long, although argua📖b🐻ly on one of the best bases in the game.
Robin confronts her and asks Marguerite about her sister Sam, thinking they might have crossed paths and that marguerite had details of what happened to her. Marguerite sends robin on a mission to destroy a satellite tower that belongs to Alterra just to prove that she's not with them, and maybe then she'll remember 🍸som💃ething about Sam.
The Greenhouse - Friend Request Accepted!
After the Satellite Tower gets destroyed, Marguerit﷽e calls Robin and says that she has a present for her and waits for h✱er at her greenhouse.
At the greenhouse, Marguerite said that she did meet▨ Sam, and at first glance, she knew that Sam worked for Alterra as she sent spy bots everywhere. Robin then received a PDA with more information on Sam, which leads her to Phi Robotics, where Sam worked.
Phi Robotics - The Story Gets Even Deeper
Inside Phi Robotics, Robin enters Sam's room, where she used to stay. I⛎n there, hidden away, she finds The Kharaa Antidote (an antidote to the Kharaa Bacterium𒀰).
Robin explores further and finds the frozen Leviathan cave. This is a cave where a g🐼iant frozen Leviathan is being held, which also happens to be infected by the Kharaa Bacterium, and therefore cursed to die. The Alterra knew this as they were the ones who initially found the frozen Leviathan. However, they decided to study it and take notes on how Kharaa developed instead, to makಌe bioweapons out of it.
Samantha Ayou - Family Matters The Most
In the Leviathan cave, Robin finds Sam's necklace. It's at this moment that Robin gets to know that Sam feared Alterra's intentions with Kharaa, that th💯ey'd use it🅰 to develop bioweapons, and she was also concerned over another outbreak.
So Sam decided to destroy the cave holding the Leviathan with explosions, while Marguerite M�▨�aida destroyed a lab containing Alterra's Kharaa samples. Marguerite succeeded, while Sam, unfortunately, was caught in the blast and killed by falling rubble.
An End To Our Journey - Exploring Other Worlds
Because Robin didn't want Alterra to return 💙to the planet and restart their research, Robin uses the Kharaa antidote she found in Sam's room to cure the frozen Leviathan once and for all, eඣnding the whole journey with a feeling of closure and gratitude that she could help Sam to contain the bacteria and keep everyone safe just as she wanted.
Robin successfully collects all of the components needed to build a new body for Al-An and assembles it. Al-An transfers its consciousness into the new body and deci❀des to return to the precursor world to see what's happened to the other Architects. As Robin has nowhere else to go anymore, she decides to travel with Al-An to its planet, and here's where the credits roll for Subnautica: Below Zero.
