Original players of the GameCube version of A Wonderful Life remember the Goat with mixed memories, but love her or hate her, she’s back in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Priced rather high for livestock and extremely limited in her availability, the Female Goat only produces milk for one year after you buy her for your farm – thankfully, Gᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚoat Milk is well worth the effort to produce it.
Our guide teaches you where to get the goat in A Wonderful Life, when it’s available, how to care for it, and how to get rid of it without killing it.
How Do You Get The Goat?
In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, the Female Goat is only available when you buy her from Van. He's only got a Female Goat in stock on Spring Three and Spring Eight of each year.
It costs 40,000g, but you can try to haggle for a lower price if you're feeling brave. Van may knock a percentage off - we got our Goat fo🔜r 36,000g, which is a ten per🐷cent discount just for asking.
When purchased, you, Van, and your new Goat will be brought to your Farm automatically for a cutscene where you'll name your new friend.
Van only sells the Goat in the Spring, so if you miss it the first time, you'll need to wait a whole year 🎃for another chance to get a Goat.
Additionally, Van does not have the Female Goat in stock during the Spring if you have a free spot in your Barn.
Milk The Goat For Goat Milk
Using the same Milker you use for Cows, you can milk your Goat daily to receive a few bottles of Goat Milk.
Also like Cows, Goats like snuggles and being Brushed, so make some time to care for your new friend to improve the quality of the Goat Milk she produces.
After purchase, a Female Goat is already fully mature, so she'll almost immediately begin to produce Goat Milk for one year following her arrival on your farm.
You Can Sell The Goat When She Stops Producing Milk
In the original A Wonderful Life, you had to let unwanted animals pass away in order to clear♌ them out of your Barn, but not anymore.
Now, you can sell the Goat when she stops producing Goat Milk after that one-year window.
To do this, simply head to the Ledger and select the "Sell Animal" option. Choose your Goat from the list, and she'll be gone the following morning.
If you've timed this right with your purchases, you may be able to head back to Van and get another Goat for the year before👍 he's done selling them, so time out your purchases well to maxim൲ize your Goat Milk production.
