For those unaware, Sony insists that players connect their PSN accounts to Steam to access certain games. For some, this is a mild frustration. However, for others, the issue is far more serio🐓us. PSN only supports 69 countries worldwide, and Sony's terms of service prohibit people from lying about their region to circumvent these regional restrictions.

This controversy first emerged with Helldivers 2 last year, as months after launch, players were informed they would have to connect their Steam accounts to PSN to keep playing. For players without access to PSN, this was tantamount to removing their access to the game. Sony eventually walked bac🧜k this decision after signi🧔ficant backlash.

Stellar Blade Won't Have Regional Restrictions

It would appear Stellar Blade isn't subject to these restrictions. This could be because Sony is just the publisher of Stellar Blade, and does no☂t wholly own Shift Up as it does Arrowhead Studios and ot🤪her first-party PlayStation studios.

Stellar Blade's demo is c🐎urrently available "in nearly 250 regions worldwide," a point emphasised by Shift Up in a social media post about the topic. Stellar Blade is only unavailable in a few territories, 𝓰such as Russia, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.

Stellar Blade was originally released on June 11, 2024. Shift Up agreed to one year of PlayStation 5 exclusivity, which is why the PC version is releasing on June 11, 2025. Players who play ꦅthe demo can carry their progress over into the full release, should they decide to purchase it.

According to an internal presentation, Shift Up is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:already working on Stellar Blade 2. The studio 💦is planning to release the sequel before 2027, which almost certainly means next year, as it's only been a year since the original was released.
