Sable, on the other hand, is story-light but thick with worldbuilding. A Moebius-inspired alien desert is your playground, and the ruins of forgotten civilisations your waypoints. Dripping with style, Sable is a game that unfolds in front of you, the stories of your own adventure over dune and into crypt more importan🐓t than any NPC dialogue or villainous plot.

Then there are the games on my to-play list, wishlist, or both. A Space for the Unbound was well regarded by my colleagues, and this might be the impetus I need to save it from languishing at the bottom of my Steam library evermore. I've heard great things about Beacon Pines, too. Music games Genesis Noir and Afterlife EP too, have been on my wishlist for too long.
