I'm a bit of an Achievement hound when it comes to my Steam account, but my tendency to jump from game to game means that the number of titles with that shiny blue ribbon next to them is actually quite small. Instead, I try to foc💙us on rare Achievements that haven't been unlocked by a lot of players.

Of course, in a lot of cases, those unlock percentages are low for a reason. Some Steam Achievements are downright hard to get, and a few are literally impossible. I've ma൲de peace with the fact that I'll never unlock them all, but a few will haunt me forever.

8 Standing Like A Stone Wall / Pickett's Recharge

Civilization 5

Civ 5 had some banger scenarios beyond the main game, and theoretically I could go back and unlock these Achievements from the American Civil War scenario in an afternoon. That would 🐻require playing as the Confederacy, though, a red line I won't cross i🌜n any historical game for any reason.

I've already got the Union Achievements, and I'm satis♕fied with that. Even just playing as Dixie, never mind🗹 winning key battles and ultimately the war for the wrong side of history, isn't worth a couple of digital medals.

7 ♛ So Over It ♚

Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy

Every so often, I reinstall Getting Over It, the infamous mountain-climbing game that's probably caused the rage-induced des༒truction of more than a few monitors in its day. It's meant to be a lesson in picking yourself👍 up after failure and continuing until you succeed, and... well, I've certainly got the failure part down.

I've never reached the top of Getting Over It's mountain even once, never mind the fifty times required for its final Achievement. For what it's worth, I also hav💫en't cheated and looked up the secret video that plays when you make it. One day, maybe I'll earn it, but once will be enough.

6 Everything 💜 🔯

BioShock Remastered

I was late to the party with BioShock. I didn't play the original game until abꦗout ten years after it came out, mostly to see what all the fuss was about. It was a fun, but by that time dated, shooter, and I was glad to have played it once.

The original Steam version of the game didn't include Achievements. The Remaster, which was made available for free, d💜id. I have it on my account, but I'm not interested in playing through the game again, so even though I've be🐷aten BioShock, I don't have any Achievements for it.

5 🔯 Raiders Of The Lost Galatron

Stellaris

Paradox's strategy games are known for having some absurd Achievements, many of which require entire campaigns just focused on unlocking one. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Stellaris' Galatron Achievements are infamous for relying heavily on RNG, and I just don't have ❀the patience.

If you want to take a break from ruling a space empire, you can spend the treasury irresponsibly by gambling. The grand prize, with a half-a-percent chance ofꦆ appearing, is a powerful Relic called the Galatron. Getting the Galatron is an Achievement itself, but Raiders Of The Lost Galatron requires extra steps.

For this Achievement, you need to declare war against someone who already has the Galatron and take it from them. That means you need to be in a ga💎me where somebod🏅y else hit the jackpot, or you need to win the Galatron, lose it, then take it back.

4 🐻 Decked 🥂Out

The Quarry

The Quarry is a scary good time, and I've done several playthroughs. Like many Supermassive titles, the story can branch off based on tiny details,😼 so little ༺differences can make a big impact.

There are several Achievments that I don't have, but one in particular - Decked Out - is irritating because I don't know how I missed it. It's given for finding all 22 Tarot Cards in the game, and I have 21. I don't know how I missed one, or even which one it is - and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:I wrote the guide, for Pete's sake.

3 ⛦ DLC Achievements

Atomfall

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Atomfall isn't the kind of game I'd play normally, but I wrote guides for it for TheGamer, and ended up hitting one hundred percent in the atomic adventure as a result. Adding another completed game to my profile was a nice cherry on top, but then came the DLC.

The Wicked Isle Expansion adds 9 more Achievements to the game, which took away my completed status. In situations like this, you have to decide whether you're truly done wit💜h the game or if it's time to reinstall it, and for me it's the former this time around.

2 Contrac⭕t Achievements

Hitman: Absolution

I bought 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hitman: Absolution in a Stea✃m sale sometime ages and ages ago, and finally got around 🐓to playing it in 2020. I had a blast with it, and unlocked all the campaign Achievements.

However, thꦇe game's Contracts system, which included user-generated missions, challenges, and leaderboards, had been taken offline by then, making the remain🧸ing Achievements impossible. While many of the other Achievements on this list are a question of will, this is one game where no amount of effort would pay off.

1 🌳 The Three Mountains 🌱

Europa Universalis 4

Here's Paradox again, at the top of the list with possibly their most infamous Achievement of all time. Like 99.1% of people who have ever played Europa Universalis 4, I do💜 not have The Three Mountains, nor am I skilled enough to get it despite over 700 hours of playtime𒅌.

Conquering the entire world in EU4 is seen as the pinnacle of🅰 skill. It requires an in-depth knowledge of the game's mechanics and how to best exploit them, plus some luck. The Three Mountains requires you to do so starting as Ryukyu, a tiny island nation in what is now Okinawa, in the shadow of titans ওlike China, Japan, and the looming threat of European colonizers.

You a꧋lso have to play with Ironman Mode enabled, so you can't afford any m🔜istakes.

Even when I was at my best in EU4, playing daily, I was nowhere near good enough to get this Achievement, and there's even some debate over whether it's even possible without exploits, after more than a decade of patches and updates. You win this time, Paradox.
