As you embark on the interstellar journey in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield, you'll notice that the Settled Systems are filled to the brim with various resources. These resources can exist in various rarities, and you have different ways to locate them depending on this rarity. Ytterbium is one of the three-star resources in the game.
You'll need this item for crafting various weapon mods and doing a couple of research. Once you get to the late game and unlock certain skills, it becomes much easier to farm Ytterbium without having to spend hours looking for it everywhere.
How To Find Ytterbium
During the early game, your only option to find Ytterbium is by going to different star systems and that have its ore deposits. Once you enter a certain star system, you can click on any planet to find the resources on it, and if Ytterbium is available, you'll see "Yb" as one of these resources.
The best planet to find Ytterbium during the early game is Tau Ceti V in the Tau Ceti star system, which can be located on the far left side of the map. However, this planet has Extreme Conditions, so you can't set up an Extractor here unless you have the Planetary Habitation skill.
Ytterbium can't be seen on the planet's surface when you scan it while you're on the map since it's a three-star resource.
Once you find a planet that has Ytterbium availability, simply land anywhere on the surface and start using your Scanner on all the ore deposits. You also have a chance of finding Ytterbium in random caves even on planets that don't show the resource on the map.
Harvesting Ytterbium
After locating Ytterbium ore on a planet, you'll have to bring out your Cutter and hold it on the ore to break it. As soon as you break the ore, it'll automatically become a part of your inventory. However, an easier way🐬 to farm Ytterbium is by finding various vendors that have it in🍷 stock, as long as you have the Credits.
Mining League, Jemison Mercantile, and Trade Authority are some of the best vendors for this purpose.
Finally, you can also make a Ytterbium Extractor if you find a vein for the resource on the surface. This can be located using the Scanner mode, but you'll have to build an Outpost nearby before you can start Extracting Ytterbium. The Extractor will also need five Power, which can be provided by building various structures in the Power section.
You'll need four Aluminum, five Iron, and two Tungsten to make the Extractor. Connect the Extractor to a Solid Storage or Transfer Container so that the Extractor can keep working for a while even afte🤪r you leave.
