Apart from helping you in combat, some of these Powers can also help you while exploring the open world or making tough choices.
However, these Powers won't be available to you at the start of the game, and you'll have to progress quite a bit in the main story to get them. Your first Power will be available during the "Into The Unknown" quest, and here's how you can easily acquire it.
Where To Get Powers In Starfield
Once you get Into The Unknown quest, you'll be asked to go to a specific planet and use the special effects on your Scanner to locate the Power's location. Get out of your Ship on the planet and rotate your camera around using the Scanner screen. You'll see a small glitch effect on the white lines of the Scanner at certain angles.
As soon as you start getting this effect, you can start moving straight in that direction. You might see this effect on a large angle at the start, but it'll slowly get more precise as you get closer. Moreover, the glitch effect will also increase in the process and you'll start hearing a glitch audio effect, signifying that you're getting close.
Eventually, you'll come across a giant Temple that looks like a ruin. You have to find the main door of this temple, and the easiest way to find it is by looking for a pair of straight walls that slowly get taller. The Temple's door will be right in the middle of these walls, and you can enter through it to get the Power.
Inside, you'll notice that the rings start moving around in a spherical shape slowly, and there'll be a cluster of glowing particles forming in one part of the room. This will also be a gravity-free zone t꧋hat allows you to fly around as you please. You simply have to go through these clusters as fast as possible.
You'll hear a specific audio effect if you successfully go past it and the rings will start moving a bit faster.
After doing this a few times, the rings will form a portal and you'll be able to fly to the middle and get your Power. Once you're outside with the new power, you can equip it through the top part of the main menu. You can also read their description and how much of your power they consume here.
