Some say 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield is just 'Fallout in space'. We find this reductive, to say the least, but we concede that it can occasionally feel that way when you take a look at much of the game's arsenal. After all, we're in space, centuries later, so it stands to reason we'll be seeing more firearms and grenades than hammers and axes. (Though you can still find those.)

The guns are as easy as pie to get down. Draw, point, shoot. Grenades and mines aren't necessarily harder to grasp, so much as less explained within the context of Starfield's tutorials, so let's talk shop on the best ways to use them, and where to find them.

Grenades, Mines, And You

Starfield Shopkeeper In Neon

As you explore Starfield's many worlds, you'll sometimes come across Grenades and Mines. Both these weapon types are assigned to 'Right Bumper' on the Xbox controller, and the corresponding keyboard key. This separates them from all the gun/mel🍌ee-related inputs assigned to the other shoulder buttons.

You won't start out with any, but pickpocketing is a good way to get a few, and looting enemies and hostile bases will get you several rather swiftly. They can also be purchased at gun shops, ൲though in our🅰 experience, mines are somewhat rare finds here.

It can be tempting to stick with what you know, and sell these. But after you've been hit in the face with a handful of grenades from the opposition, you'll likely want to share the kindness. The type of grenade or mine you have will dictate the strategy you should employ. Cryo Grenades, for example, can freeze several foes at once. As with all grenades, it's a good idea to toss these toward as much of a cluster of enemies as possible.

Tactical Incendiary Action

A split-image of the protagonist flying back in zero gravity as they fire on an enemy with a rifle, and the menu screen of weapons you can select.

Don't think of the overwhelming numbers of pirates and spacers as a disadvantage. Think of it as a great way to level the playing field by taking out several bad guys simultaneously. Frag Grenades and ordinary Mines will deal more conventional damage. Incendiary fare will deal fire ꧂damage.

All of this may sound superfluous, but consider that your own defenses against different types of damage vary based on your spacesuit and other gear; the same holds true for foes. A good rule of thumb is to assume the enemy has less innate resistance to the more exotic types of damage, including extreme heat (Incendiary) and extreme cold (Cryo). That's what makes these more costly.

We don't necessarily recommend stocking up on these from shops unless you have a huge amount of credits. Truth be told, they should be saved for when you're a little in over your head, or in the case of mines, when you want to make a stealthier approach. But you will find enough if you scavenge Starfield's zones to last you whenever it really counts.
