But before we get there, we must conclude the search for Kryx's Legacy - and that's where this guide comes into play.

The Quest Begins

Delgado Crimson Fleet Starfield

Picking up from where we left off in the previous quest, it's now time to speak with Delgado, who you should find near Jazz's default location. During the chat, Jaz'll task you with uploading the Genedyne data, installing a Conduction Grid Module, as well as a ComSpike Module.

What this means for us, then, is that we need to speak with Jazz now to install the modules. Ask her for help with your ship (the bottom-most option, usually). Head into Ship Builder Mode, pick Add, choose Equipment, and you should see both the Conduction Grid Module and ComSpike Module. ♛Just place them wherever the ship builder menu displays their location as blue rather than red.

Set course for Bannoc IV, conveniently located in the Bannoc Star System. Upon your arrival, you'll see some pretty cool space scenery as the shadow of a legendary ship slowly reveals itself whilst you head toward it. This will be marked on your screen as Unknown Signal. The storms out here will eventually destroy your ship, so you know, head for that sha𝄹dow and board ASAP.

Now aboard the Legacy, take solace in knowing two things: one, your ship's hull is now fine. Two, Starfield's objective marker is about as helpful as ever, which is to say, generally pretty useful, if sometimes faulty.

We can follow that objective marker pretty safely all the way to the destination, but in true adventure/RPG gaming fashion, there is one universal truth on the Legacy: wherever the objective marker doesn't lead, venture that way first, as you'll find a large number of voice logs worth listening to, as well as a few bits of loot.

Your opponents here are all mechanized. Turrets and robots in Starfield can tear shields to shreds in seconds, so take things methodically, and don't be afraid to lean on any stealth skills you may possess to get the drop on these machines.

When you reach your destination, note that it'll request something called Transfer GalBank Module. Grab it from the nearby corpse. Proceed further into the heart of the Legacy, and when you come up on an area with a door with a pickable lock, go ahead and pick it if you have the requisite rank in Security to do so. You're in a better position to deal with the upcoming automated defenses this way. Otherwise, simply prepare for more of a fight through the opposite door.

Escaping The Legacy

Further doors with winding routes await you, but as ever, the path forward is ultimately made fairly clear via your objective marker. Whenever you see terminals, interact with them; a few will give you 🥀an upper hand against turrets and robots, or even disable them altogether, should you ahve the skill-based capability to do so.

The vault itself is impressive in its own right, and lined with a bit more robotic resistance. But things won't get dire until a little bit after. The Transfer Module is situated at the center of Jasper's substantial sum of credsticks. (Needless to say, grab them all.) You'll also want that unique rifle, Revenant.

Flip the nearby switches. You should now be able to interact with the nearby Module Locks. Follow the game's instructions here. Prepare for some 'fun' as soon as you take the Core. There's a reason we labeled this section 'Escaping the Legacy'!

There are no new detours involved in exiting the Legacy. Instead, the new environmental hazards can cause havoc over time. Rely upon various pharmaceuticals as needed, but if you run out of something to deal with wounds, don't worry. It's not the end of the world. It just means your escape will be more... uncomfortable.

You don't need to have memorized the path. Your scanner will show the footsteps ahead that you must take to get back to your ship. Just take care not to dive directly into environmental obstacles, and the minimum damage you'll receive despite your carefulness won't come close to killing you.
