You'll meet Barrett in before any other member of Constellation, and the man tends to leave quite the first impression. His lasting impressions don't seem to be the best, either, given the reaction that Argos supervisor Lin has when she sees him roll up moments before the arrival of aggressive pirates.
It's all fun and games, except for the pirates who die along the way, but pretty soon you've said farewell to Barrett and taken his ship to New Atlantis. When will you see him again and when you do, how will you ensure he sticks around? Read on!
Quickly Courting Barrett
Thankfully, recruiting Barrett isn't as multistep as someone like Sam, nor will it take as long as Andreja. Your goals in 'The Empty Nest' include meeting a fellow up in a space station, getting an Artifact alongside Sam Coe in the capital of the Freestar Collective, and finding out what happened with Barrett.
Needless to say, it's that last one that we're concerned with in this guide. In fact, if you ask Sarah for advice, she even suggests doing this first!
First, we'll need to return to Vestera, which is where we began the game, and as solid a lead on Barrett as anything. We'll meet back up with Lin here, and Heller soon thereafter; and if you'd like to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:recruit them for your ship, we've got an article up on how to do just that. Obligatory plug aside, after you've gotten the computer terminal working here at the mining camp, you're sent off to the next destination to find a crashed Crimson Fleet ship.
Once the plot has allowed you to ascertain where exactly Barrett got hauled off to, the showdown before his official recruitment will get underway. You can try to negotiate with his captor, who's really not that terrible a guy in the final telling. He's also relatively easy to persuade, but feel free to make a quick save in case luck doesn't go your way. Remember that items like wine and chems can improve Persuasion check odds.
Funnier still, if you've already joined the Crimson Fleet, you can pretty much ask him to let Barrett walk free right then and there. To do so, you will need to have started the UC Vanguard quests and done the first two of those, at which point the C🌳rimson Fleet stuff comes into the equation.
Barrett boasts his usefulness, whistles in sincere bewilderment if you're also Crimson Fleet, and that's that - he's with you from hereon out.
