Updated June 14, 2023 by Christopher Padilla: The 1.5 update of Stardew Valley added plenty of new items and areas to the game, including a whole new villager, Leo, who has his own list of giftable items. We added Leo's gifting preferences. We've also consolidated all the items into tables, added any new items to each villager's gift preference, as well as adding some tips for how to get their preferred gifts as quickly and easily as possible. Also added are items you should avoid giving any villager.
Universal Items
Listed below are specific items and how each of the villagers feel about them, but there also are also items that most villagers feel the same about, whether the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:items are universally liked, loved, neutral, disliked, and hated.
There are exceptions to🐲 these item classifications, like how Krobus loves the universally hated Void Mayonnaise or how Haley hates the universally loved Prismatic Shards. Any exceptions below to the universal classifications are listed in the appropriate place per character.
Universally Disliked And Hated Items
There are some items that most villagers generally agree they don’t want, and as such, you should find better uses for them than gifting.

Abigail — Birthday: Fall 13
Though most of her Loved items are cooked, Abigail is still pretty easy to impress early on since she loves Amethysts, which are not uncommon in the mines and can also be found rarely by fishi𓂃ng. Starting🐓 in Summer, you can also fish up Pufferfish in the Ocean. In the Fall, you can cultivate Pumpkins, though they take 13 days to grow.
Her sole non-Universal liked item, Quartz is very common in the mines to the point that you can stockpile them for multiple use🥃s, including making sure you always have something Abigail likeꩲs on hand.

Alex — Birthday: Summer 13
Alex is hard to impress, having only two non-Universal Loved items, both of which are cooked dishes. They’re not easy to make, either. The Complete Breakfast consists of three different cooked dishes and a lot of animal products. Salmon Dinner uses𝓀 two crops: Kale, which grows in the Spring and Amaranth, which grows in the Fall.
If want to eventually befriend Alex, invest in a Coop ear🐲ly on as well as a few chickens, since he likes all non-Void eggs and o♛nce production gets going, eggs come pretty regularly.

Caroline — Birthday: Winter 07
The first half of the year is the time to impress Caroline, since Daffodils are easily foraged in the Spr🐬ing, and 🌠Summer Spangles are grown in the Summer.
After her two-Heart event, she’ll give you the recipe for Tea Saplings, which produce Tea Leaves eಌvery day in the last week of every season (if indoors in the Winter) after they’re fully grown. Since she likes Tea Leaves and loves Green Tea, this will allow you to quickly raise her friendship year-round.

Clint — Birthday: Winter 26
If you like Mining, then you’ll likely make fast friends with Clint. Almost all of Clint’s loved items can be found in the mines. 𝔉He loves a lot of gems, which are not too uncommon to find in the mines.
You can also use the much more common ores you find in the mines, p💎rovided that you fir🧸st turn them into Bars, which requires a furnace.

Demetrius — Birthday: Summer 19
Demetrius can be a little tricky to gain hearts within year one since almost all of his Loved items are cooked, and getting Strawberry Seeds early enough in ꦉSpring to make them worthwhile to plant is difficult.
In year one, Summer is the best time to befriend him. If you’ve got some extra cash, Alex sells Ice Cream, which Demetrius loves, every day in the Summer for 250g in a stand near the Museum and Clint’s Blacksmith. If you have a coop, you can also give him non-Vo💖id eggs, which he likes.

Dwarf — Birthday: Summer 22
The Dwarf is difficult to befriend early on, not only because he’s behind ✃a rock that must be blown up or hit with a Steel Pickaxe. You can’t meaningfully interact with the Dwarf until you donate the four Dwarvish Scrolls to the Museum and 🌞acquire the Dwarvish Translation Guide.
After doing so, you can buy items from his shop, as well as give him gifts that will affect your friendship with him. All of his non-Universal loves and likes can be found in the Mines, including the exceedingly common Quartz.

Elliott — Birthday: Fall 05
Elliott is a hard man to impress when it comes to gifts. Your best bet is to get the Crab Pot early, whose recipe unlocks at level three fishing, and then putting them in the Ocean. With ꧃luck, you’ll get some Lobsters, which Elliott loves.
You’ll need to har🌺vest the Crab Pots and refill them with bait every day, but you can also make a lot of profit this way.
