Before upgrading your Blaster in Star Wars Outlaws, you must first meet a few prerequisites. First things first, you must complete the 'New Tricks' main quest, having Waka repair the Trailblazer, allowing you to walk around it freely.

Once you gain access to the Trailblazer, you will find a Workbench near the western wing of the ship, and that is where you will go to upgrade your Blaster. However, before you can begin upgrading your Blaster, you must obtain the requisite materials and, in some cases, the schematics to do so.

While customizing the Blaster's Appearance is also technically part of 'upgrading' the Blaster, we won't cover it here. Still, you can obtain many unique and cool skins for your Blaster by reaching certain milestones with Factions, tackling side-quests, and more. So, if you're looking to change your Blaster's appearance, you won♈'t be disappointed!

If you have the required materials and parts to upgrade your Blaster, head to the Workbench in the Trailblazer and click in the right analog stick while near it. This will open a menu that allows you to either upgrade the Blaster's Modules or change its Appearance.

Click on the 'Modules' tab to open the upgrade sub-menu, where you can finally choose which upgrades you'd like to make to your Blaster. Here, you can access the Plasma, Ion, and Power Modules, each containing various upgrades and firing type🐟s.

You won't have access to all Modules right off the bat, but you can get a sense of everything you can do with your Blaster from these menus. From here, you will have to gather upgrade materials and find specific resources to further upgrade your Blaster, which can be done in a handful of ways.

Best Way To Obtain Materials And Resources

When it comes to acquiring upgrade materials for your Blaster, taking on Contracts will be an excellent way to obtain them pretty frequently. In addition to that, reaching the 'Excellent' status with both the Hutt Cartel and Ashiga Clan factions will grant you 'Blaster Part Bundles,' which will give you TONS of valuable resources needed to upgrade your Blaster.

Furthermore, each planet will have Armorers that will sell upgrade materials for your Blaster. If your reputation is high enough with their respective faction, they will offer unique items and even have discounts, so be sure not to tick anyone off you may regret!

Looting chests and containers and picking up random materials during missi🐈ons is also an excellent way to obtain lots of upgrade resources for your Blaster. Always pick an area clean before moving on to maximize your opportunities to enhance your Blaster!

Obtaining Specific Materials And Schematics

Some Materials and upgrade schematics are obtained through specific questlines, some being tied to the main storyline and others being rewards for Expert Intel sub-quests. For instance, the Power Module for your Blaster is obtained via the 'Gunsmith' questline, which is one of the main quests that become available upon completing 'The Wreck.'

The Power Module will allow you to charge up a powerful shot with your Blaster that is capable of breaking some rocks in the environment, making it an e🃏xtremely valuable tool. It also does lots of damage to enemies, so we recommend getting it as soon as possible when it becomes available.

Regarding specific resources or rare items, you can access the 'Requirement Details' by hovering over the upgrade you want and pressing Y/Triangle. This will give you all the information you need on where and how to obtain the materials you need. You can also press Y/Triangle again to bring its location up on your map!

If a specific Module or upgrade path is locked, have patience. These will often become available to you as you progress through the game's main storyline and meet more characters who can enhance your Blaster. A𓆉dditionally, always gather Expert Intel from merchants and NPS, as they often lead to really unique rewards, some of which are Key Upgrade Materials for your Blaster!
