168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 is great for connecting us with people across the globe. Whether your friends were made in real life or the digital world, in just a few button clicks🐭 you’ll be hanging out with your bestie.꧂ Yet for all the ways in which the game can connect us, there’s a lot of room for improvement in maintaining that connection.

I have two main gripes with the friend list as it stands. First, it’s tied to character𝓀 rather than account. Second, you can’t add people if they’re offline. Let’s tackle my first complaint. I have far too many alt characters, mainly so I can attend community events on dif♑ferent servers. This is, unfortunately, just the way it has to be until Cross-Data Center Travel arrives.

Which is your favourite FFXIV raid?

I meet so many amazing players, creatives, and interesting groups during these events, and though I can add them to my friend list on that specific alt ✨character, it doesn’t do me much good in the long run. Unless I’m on that alt character, I have no idea if they’re online or not. And unfortunately, I don’t hang out on my alts unless I’m attending a pre-planned event, because why would I? If I have free time, I’m investing it into my main character.

I do understand why s♐ome players would want to keep their friend list tied to separate characters, such as wanting to play incognito on an alt so their friends can’𓃲t nag them to come and play healer in whatever dungeon run they’re attempting. However, I think an account-wide friend list would work perfectly considering you can already set your online status to invisible

It would be great to see which of my friends are online on different data centers. Maybe then I’d be encouraged to drop in on an alt more ofteᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚn to catch up. I could just pop over and see how they’re doing without haꦓving to formally arrange something ahead of time, which is especially helpful if you’re only able to snatch an hour or two to play on any given day.

Now let’s move onto my second complaint. Unless I'm being utterly daft, I can see no way to add a Final Fantasy 14 player to your friend list unless they’re online at the same time as you. I've tried in-game, the Lodestone website, the app, and no luck. 🍬You might be wondering what the big deal is. Just arrange to meet online and add each other then, right? Well, that’s not always so easy when you’re on two completely different time zones, and, as I🌃 mentioned before, you find it hard to carve out some play time regardless.

The Warrior of Light in Solution Nine in Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail.

There’s an ongoing joke at TheGamer that those of us who play Final Fantasy 14 don’t have each other on our friend lists. It’s become this back and forth blame game of ‘I can’t believe you haven’t added me yet’, though we all kno🌄w the real reason is it’s just too hard to time it right without having to properly arrange it. It shouldn’t be this hard to add a friend.

The featured image for this article is my own Warrior and Light and that of t🍒wo other editors from TheGamer. This is a🌸s close as those characters will get for now it seems.

I can understand it possibly being hard to implement in-game. However, the Lodestone stores data of every character that is made on every single server, so as far as I’m concerned, it’s a big old database that you can peruse like an old phone book. As you sign in with your account, you can see your friend list here too, so I don’t see why you can’t send friend requests to the characters you can𝔉 search for. It would make everything so much easier.

Sure, we still might not overlap much timewise to be able to properly spend time together in-game, but the few times we are online at the same time, at least we’d know straight away from the friend list. Also, if they were on my friend list, I could send them silly messages via the Moogle Delivery system regardless oꩲf whether they were currently online.

Please Sqဣuare Enix, I’m already rubbish at staying in contact with my friends and acquaintances. Please help me make it a little easier.
