Some of Spidey's secondary missions really🐟 pack a punch.
Spider-Man has always interacted with the greater Marvel universe, and there have been teases to the world beyond the webslingers we already know. Whether it is traveling into the Spider-Verse or finally meeting the seemingly elusive Avengers, Insomniac has a rife cast of characters to choose from for their next gaꦫme - here are some we would love to see in a ꦰfollow-up.
This list contains plot beats and other potential spoil𒈔ers for Spider-Man 2.
7 Miguel O'Hara - Spider-Man 2099
Miguel O'Hara was introduced in 1992 as an alternate Spider-Man existing in a sort of cyberpunk dystopian future in the year 2099. Fans today might know him best from the new film Across the Spider-Verse which hit the box office in 2023. In this film, Miguel is a sort of anti-hero antagonist who has a terse and complicated relationship with Miles Morales, who, of course, features in Spider-Man 2.
This version of Miguel is name-dropped by Delilah, a cut character from Across the Spider-Verse, at the end of a side activity that sees you collecting hidden Spider-Bots across the city. His suit also appears as an unlockable for Peter. Is it simply an easter egg or a hint at Miguel's future involvement in the series? Either way, we'd love to see this Spider-Man make an appearance sooner than later.
6 🍒 Matt Murdock - Daredevil
The Man Without Fear has been teased in all three of Insomniac's Spider-Man games. His office appeared as a photo-op in the first game and could be found in the spinoff Miles Morales game. In Spider-Man 2, however, Murdock & Nelson's plaque was missing upon release and was only replaced in an update. When gamers first noticed this, Insomniac's game director Bryan Intihar stated a simple "stay tuned."
Daredevil is a longtime collaborator of Spider-Man in the comics, especially since they're both New York City based heroes. It only makes sense for Matt to appear in some capacity - either as his civilian lawyer identity or horned hero counterpart.
5 Carnage
This one is a bit complex. While Carnage's traditional host, Cletus Kasady, appears in Spider-Man 2, we never see him transform into the chaotic red symbiote. Carnage first fully appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #361 in 1992. Since then, he has terrorized Spider-Man and the greater Marvel universe. His brutality and downright villainy have made him a fan favorite. Carnage also hit the big screens in the Andy Serkis-directed Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Hidden Details 𒊎And Easter Eggs In Spider-Man 2
There's a ton🍃 of 🐼hidden things to find in Spider-Man 2
With Kasady obtaining a symbiote in the finale of The Flame side quest, an appearance from Carnage seems inevitable. While it doesn't seem clear if he will appear in a DLC or the next game, Carnage is sure to make waves in Insomniac's GamerVerse.
4 Eddie Brock 𒁏 🉐
One of the biggest surprises in Insomniac's sequel was the reveal that Venom's host was not Eddie Brock, but instead the terminally ill Harry Osborn. Traditionally, Brock is Venom's host, as chronicled in Sony's Venom series and Sam Raimi's 2007 Spider-Man 3. In the comics, Brock is a disillusioned journalist who hunts Spider-Man and Peter Parker for ruining his career.
Since then, Eddie Brock has become something of an anti-hero while also recently dealing with the king of all Symbiotes, Knull. This has led to some pretty interesting cosmic encounters. Brock has a mythos surrounding him that now even rivals Spider-Man himself, which makes him an obvious choice to add to the video game's next installment, especially with Harry out of commission for the time being.
3 Deadpool
Everyone's favorite merc with a mouth would make a stellar and comedic addition to the next Spider-Man. He has ties to both Spider-Man and Wolverine (who will feature in Insomniac's next release), which makes him a shoo-in for at least a mention or cameo in either game. The wisecracking mercenary is hyper-popular nowadays and has even starred in his own video game back in 2013.

Peter Parker's voice actor Yuri Lowenthal even stated that he'd 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:"love to see Deadpool and Spidey," especially if they got veteran Deadpool actor Nolan North to return to voice the character. While it is a long shot, he would fit right in with the universe and shake things up while he's at it.
2 Doctor S🔯trange
Stephen Strange was teased in Spider-Man 2 during the mission Make Your Own Choices. Spider-Man (Miles) and Black Cat use the borrowed Wand of Watoomb to escape and combat Kraven's hunters. Wong magically sends a letter to Miles afterward, writing "The Doctor and I owe you one." It would make sense that Doctor Strange would appear sooner than later - especially given his involvement with Spider-Man in recent MCU installments.
Strange is one of Marvel's longest-existing heroes. He's been around since his introduction in 1963 and has been the chief mystical force for the Avengers and beyond. If there are any mystical elements to Insomniac's Spider-Man 3, you can be sure that Doctor Strange will make an appearance.
1 ⛎ Green Goblin
This feels to be the most inevitable character appearance in Insomniac's GamerVerse. Norman Osborn has played a key part in both of the mainline games, but he hasn't suited up as the iconic villain yet. At the end of Spider-Man 2, in perhaps the most obvious sign of the Goblin's arrival yet, Osborn calls for the 'G-serum' to heal Harry.
Green Goblin has been facing off against Spider-Man since the 60s and only spells trouble for Peter Parker's life. The build up to his arrival has been immense, and the payoff promises to be epic. While it seems obvious that he would appear, Green Goblin is our most anticipated character for Spider-Man 3. The only question is - which Osborn will be behind the mask?
