Getting The Foodie Achievement
The Foodie Achievement is currently one of the most difficult achievements to obtain in Sons Of The Forest. It requires you to eat every single kind of consumable in the game, of which there are over 37.
Some are easy to find, while others require more effort and are not as common. Foods fall into one of three categories: Plants, Flesh, and Non-Perishables.
The first can be found in nature, the second can only be obtained from dead organisms, and the last is scavenged from crates and other different spots. Explore the area thoroughly to find one of each.
Plant Foods
These are the easiest types of food to find, literally growing all around the island. There are four types of Plant Food: Berries, Herbs, Mushrooms, and Medicines.

Flesh Foods
These foods are harvested from the bodies of wild animals and c🧔annibals. You can hunt, fish, and fight them yourse♕lf or look for dead bodies.
You can either eat them raw or cook them, but either choice will count the same towards the achievement. There are three types of Flesh Food: Animal, Human, and Seafood.
Type | Variants | Location |
---|---|---|
Animal |
|
Can be harvested from any wild animal encountered on the island. Either hunt them yourself or look for dead bodies. |
Human |
|
Can be harvested from the bodies of cannibals. Either hunt them yourself or look for dead bodies. Cannibals are likely to be found in caves or near campsites. The Bites can be found in the Food area of the Bunker. |
Seafood |
|
Can be obtained by fishing and harvesting near water. Look for fresh bodies of water or search along the island coast. |
Non-Perishable Foods
There are some processed foods and items that are made to last and, therefore will not rot. They're not naturally occurring, and so are some of the hardest foods to find. There are three types of Non-Perishable Foods: Instant, Snacks, and Utility.
Type | Variants | Location |
---|---|---|
Instant |
|
Can be found in cases and crates scattered around the island and near campsites. They can also be found littering caves and digging up graves. Warning: Canned Food requires a Can Opener, and Ramen will make you thirsty. |
Snacks |
|
Can be found in supply crates and cases around the island. Be sure to look for them around campsites. |
Utility |
|
Can be found in supply crates and cases around the island. Be sure to look for them around campsites. |
It should be noted that many of the processed and prepared food items like Non-Perishables and Bites can be found in the Food And Dining Bunker.
A part of it is unlocked at the start, with the rest requiring the Maintenance Keycard to access. To get this card, you'll need to look for a Golf Caddy between Western Beach and Snowy Mountain.
Dig around it to find a Maintenance Hatch, enter it, and then collect the Keycard from the desk. After that, you can find the Food And Dining Bunker north of the central lake that connects to the sea.
