168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sons of the Forest marks a return to another cannibal-infested peninsula similar to that of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Forest, with 🐻more horror and mystery await▨ing as you crash.
As an operative, you are more immediately capable than the previous protagonist but just as vulnerable to the elements. Aside from the obvious changes like graphical improvements and a new story to discover, Sons of the Forest sees some big shifts when you try to survive the island this time arꦑound.
9 🐎 No More ▨Sanity
Sanity played a role in the first game, but it never really was implemented in a way that felt like it truly mattered to the overall setting. This can be felt💧 even more in the new game, where sanity has been d༺ropped entirely.
You can simply go along your merry way,🌱 chopping up mutants and feasting on limbs if that’s the route you want to take. There is no more option to build effigies this time around, so your actions will simply affect how enemies perceive you.
8 Invent🅠ory and Craf🦩ting
Sons of the Forest has a distinctly different 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:crafting and inventory system despite having similar bones to its predecessor. Aside from the visual change of you actua꧙lly having a sturdy and spacious pack, you c🧜an also light it up (with a color of your choosing) and the way you craft gear, weapons, and items is modified.
There are still no hand-holding tutorial🌟s to be found, but you will find that discovering recipes i🅺s much more intuitive this time around and the crafting animations are very satisfying. You now also have access to 3D printers, which allow you to make arrows, a sled, masks, and a water flask, among others. Plus, sap is no longer something you need to collect as practically everything can be solved with some duct tape.
7 Sharing Ite🍰ms With Ease
One of the best changes in Sons of the Forest is how you share items with other players or your companions. When you want to give clothing, ammo, medicine, weaponry, crafting mate🦩rials, or other goodies, you simply have to hold the action button on the player or companion you want to give these items to and you can click which items you want to give from your pack.
This is a vast improvement on The Forest’s tray system, where you had to just hold your tray it out with o🐭ne thing on it and wait for the person to pick it up from you. Now, sharing multiple items is a much more effici꧙ent process.
6 🦩 A Much Bigger Map
Despite having a few similarities here and there, Sons of the Forest is not actually set on the same island as The Forest. It’s quite ev𝓀ident in the difference in𝔉 biomes and the fact that this map is much larger than the first game’s map.
With plenty of lore and points of interest, this island is truly a joy (albeit a terrifying ♚one) to explore. It also feels more impactful when you meet a friendly NPC or find a spot that feels safe enough from the many enemies around you.
5 Respawning With Your Stuff ﷺ
In the first game, 🐈you lose your stuff when you die. Well, it gets left behind where you died and you have to make your way back to retrieve your goods in the most vulnerable state ever. In the new game, you have different respawn points depending on where you are, and your items are always conveniently located near you even on harder difficulties.
Perhaps🌸 the cannibals and mutants of this island are simply more mindful or confident? Either way, it’s a much more forgiving means of respawning that makes death a liꦓttle less intimidating.
4 Dynamic Weather An♔d Seasons
Oh, how the times change. This go-around, you will be affected by changing weather and seasons that add an extra challenge to your survival. Rain and fog will hamper your vision, but the most impactful seasonal change to take n𓆉ote of is winter𒁏.
As bodies of water freeze over and the ground is covered in snow, you will not be able to fish or pick berries. You will also feel cold if you don't have warm clothes or a source of heat. This makes it essential to find ample winter clothing and stock up for the season. Summer and winter are the longest in-game seasons, so it's best to prepare for that when planning your route.
3 Helpful N♌PCs🎉
While the old island saw everyone being wary, if not downright violent, tow♐ards you, this new one has a couple of potential pals by your side. Whether you are solo or in multiplayer, you start out with the endearing companion, Kelvin. You ca❀n instruct him to do a variety of helpful tasks, such as patrolling the area, collecting items, following you, and building basic structures like fire and shelter.
Additionally, the island also has a resident mutant named Virginia who will not be hostile toward you. You can gradually build her trust and she can potentially follow you, defend you from mutants (if gi🎉ven a weapon), guide you to nearby points of interest, and give you berries, herbs, and sticks.
2 🐭 More Weapons
If you like to have a big arsenal of weapons, then you may find relief in the fact that you have more robust options in Sons of the Forest. You can even find attachments to improve your♑ gunpower down the line.
You still have your range of axes and interesting melee options, but some of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the best weapons in the game are the upgradeable pistol and shotgun. Even if you want to be more pacificist, wielding these weapons can be he꧟lpful as you can fire warning shots that will cause some hostiles to flee𝓀.
1 🧔 Overhauled Building Mechanics 𝔉
Free building is much easier this time around, as you won’t even need to lay down blueprint markers in the world to start building. You can simply start putting down your materials and♕ the intuitive building system will kick in so you can start building available structures.
That said, the log sled no longer exists. This can be a real pain when you’re trying to collect as much lumber as you can without taking too many trips, but this is kind of offset by thꦡe presence of Kelvin.
