City Escape is a very diverse level, swapping between routes, styles of movement, and even enemies within just one act. And there are two of them! It's a fun one that needs a unique approach for both. Well here's how we got an S Rank.

City Escape Act 1 S Rank

In Classic Sonic's run through City Escape, you need to be careful with your jumps while keeping up the momentum at all tim꧋es. It's🐼 a hard balancing act considering you have to outrun a truck the majority of the level, too.

At the beginning, jump onto the rail right away and then quickly to the one above it. Keep up the momentum to bounce off an enemy and make your way to a quicker route on the bui🔯ldings in the background.

After grabbing the first skateboard, get ready to jump. Right after the checkpoint are some Dash Rings that will bring you to a higher area on platforms. Keep on jumping everywhere you can, and time your jump well when you come in contact with the Dash Ramps to get s💙ome serious aꩲir and speed yourself forward.

When the truck crashes into you by the next section of scaffolding, try to jump onto its bumper to avoid taking damage.

Finish in under 2:20 seconds and with a score of 50,000 to get that A Rank,𝔍 and bump it up to an S Rank with a Perfect Clear.

City Escape Act 2 S Rank

There are a few routes down the initial slopes of City Escape, though they typically all end up taking the same amount of time. Choose any route you feel comfortable with, though the easiest fast route you can take is🐻 the one with a ramp on some scaffolding.

Make sure to pass through the Rainbow Ring after the brief section in the park as it is both safer and faster than the r🅷oute below.

Once you're entered the side-scrolling section, keep up the speed. You'll hit a ramp that leads to a swing pole up high, which will lead to an arch w❀ith a checkpoint, bring you along a higher route.

Once you hit the uphill section with the Speed Ramp, the camera will pivot to show behind Sonic as the Gun Truck starts to chasing him. This is a very linear section🦩. Re🍃member to make use of Sonic's sidestepping ability to avoid the comically large saws this very angry truck is in possession of.

And that is City Escape Act 2 complete. Finish in under 3:00 minutes with a score of 50,000 to score the A Rank, and upgrade it to an S rank with a Perfeꦰct Clea🐲r.

Where To Find Every Red Star Ring In City Escape

The same as in the original Sonic Generations, there are ten Red Star Rings hidden in every location, five in each Act for eac🃏h S💝onic to find. Here is all of them.

City Escape Act 1 Red Stars

Act 1 of City Escape has five Red Star Rings to find, and the majority can be acquired in just a single run, though you would want to be very ꦐfami༒liar with the level to have that degree of luck.

• Red Star Ring 1: Found while rolling down the roof of a building that leads back to the main route.
• Red Star Ring 2: In the area over a gap the Gun Truck drives through. You can land on the carriage while it is moving through.
• Red Star Ring 3: Jump through the Dash Rings in the air after the checkpoint from the Gun Truck chasing you downhill.
• Red Star Ring 4: Hit the highest route with the skateboard. This requires perfect jumps on each Speed Ramp.
• Red Star Ring 5: On a low leg of the scaffolding that the Gun Truck destroys. Just stand above it and wait for the Gun Truck to run through the scaffolding for it to lower.

City Escape Act 2 Red Stars

Act 2 has another five Red Star Rings to pick up, and some of them are dangerously precise in sections you ca😼n't slow down on, so it's better to know their locations ahead of time.

• Red Star Ring 1: Grind along the power lines you reach from the Speed Ramp on the raised scaffolding. The star is at the end.
• Red Star Ring 2: Along a different route, take the Speed Ramp up to the roof of a building, and take the Speed Ramp on top of this building to reach the star.
• Red Star Ring 3: Take the lower route after the park section rather than going through the Rainbow Ring. The star will be resting on a fragile platform.
• Red Star Ring 4: After entering the side-scrolling section, follow the Speed Ramp up to a higher route. The star will be on top of the arch beside the checkpoint.
• Red Star Ring 5: While being chased by the Gun Truck while moving down multiple steps of buildings, keep to the left of the screen on the slightly raised section. Try to keep aligned with the rings so you can grab the star at the end.

Where To Find Every Hidden Chao In City Escape

Newly added to Sonic X Shadow Generations are the six Chao hidden in every location, three for each Soꦫnic to find. They are very well hidden in general, but some of them are particularly cruel in City Escape.

City Escape Act 1 Hidden Chaos

Classic Sonic has three Chao to find in City Escape. Here's🐈 where to find each o🌸f them.

• Hidden Chao 1: Take the lowest route you can until you come across some wanted posters in the foreground. Stand by the one with the yellow Chao for a few seconds to acquire it.
• Hidden Chao 2: After getting to the end of the slope when the Gun Truck firsts starts chasing you, move to the left to find the Chao hiding under the edge of the road.
• Hidden Chao 3: Climb up the destructible scaffolding and move to the left. The Chao will be nestled into the corner here.

City Escape Act 2 Hidden Chaos

Like Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic has three Chao to find in City Escape. Here's wಌhere to find all of these fly🅰ing friends.

• Hidden Chao 1: After getting off the snowboard, break the two wooden boxes ahead of you to find a Chao hidden in one of them.
• Hidden Chao 2: On the lowest route during a side-scrolling section, look to the wanted posters on the wall just before the checkpoint. Stand by them for a few seconds to acquire the Chao.
• Hidden Chao 3: Just before moving up to the Speed Ramp that summons the Gun Truck, find the final Chao sitting under a sign.

And with that, you have escaped the city, and hopefully nabbed everꦑything you could get your hands on in the process.
