As popular as the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch 2 has been during its first few weeks on the market, it hasn't been able to shake the criticism born from the game-key cardꦫ situation. Very few third-party studios have opted to avoid it, but there's hope for those of you who plan to play 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on the Switch 2.

CrossWorlds will launch on most major platforms, including the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch, on September 25, 2025. However, its Switch 2 release will follow at a later date. Switch 2 owners will still be able to play CrossWorlds at launch thanks to the Switch version and then upgrade to the Switch 2 version, presumably for an additional $10, when it's availa🍌ble.

If you'd rather wait for t🦋he physical Switch 2 edition and its fancy red box, there's potentially some very good news. As spotted by , an ad for CrossWorlds includಌes a look at its Switch 2 packaging. Although we can't see all of it, there doesn't appear to be a game-key card warning where you'd find one on other Switch 2 games that require you to download the game rather than the game being included on the card.

All Signs Point To CrossWorlds On Switch 2 Being Entirely On The Card

Don't Let Us Down, Sega

That's what has made game-key cards on Switch 2 so controversial. Rather th💧an include the whole game on the card, inserting the card into your Switch 2 simply triggers a download, and nothing more. Not only does it mean the game can't be resold or used with another console, but it defeats the object of buying a physical version of a game.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the only third-party Switch 2 games so far to have sidestepped game-key cards and is complete on the cartridge. CDPR has been celebrated for that decision, and Cyberpunk appears to be selling pretty well on Switch 2. Sega hasn't confirmed CrossWorlds will follow in Cyberpunk's footsteps,෴ but the ♏lack of a game-key card warning on the box is a promising sign.

Why exactly almost all third-party developers have opted for game-key cards instead of putting their games on the cards remains unclear. One theory is that the smallest cards Nintendo has offered them is 64GB. That makes producing physical copies of a game even more expensive than it already is, particularly if your game doesn't come close to💯 being big enough to fill all that space. That would alꦇso explain why CDPR went for it as Cyberpunk takes up almost every last byte of those 64GB.
