Who Created Sage?
Sage is a highly advanced AI programmed by Sonic's archenemy, Dr. Gerald "Eggman" Robotnik. She was designed to act as a digital assistant during Eggman's exploration of the ruins on the Starfall Islands.
She is capable of interfacing with Cyber Space,꧒ the dormant digital archive in the ruins, and has ultimately made it her home. She sees Eggman as her father, and he even refers to her as ꦆhis daughter.
When Dr. Robotnik found himself pulled into Cyber Space and trapped, he assigned Sage to find a way to safely return him to the material world. Analyzing all the data in the vast digital dimension, Sage discovered that Cyber Space was also used as a prison for a world-destroying entity called The End, which had wiped out the Ancients' civilization.
Any attempt to escape by Eggman would also create a breach through which The End could escape, destroying the Earth.
While attempting to find a way to free Eggman without also freeing The End, Sage activated the islands' Chaos Emerald Vaults, summoning the Chaos Emeralds to Starfall.
The ruins, originally powered by the Emeralds, began to come back online, giving Sage access to more of the Ancients' systems.
Sage hoped to use the Ancients' 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:greatest weapons, the Titans, to destroy The End, but found she couldn't fully control the enormous robots. A further complication arose when Sonic, Tails, and Amy, curious why the Chaos Emeralds had suddenly gone to a remote archipelago, arrived on the scene.
Why Does Sage Try To Stop Sonic?
Sonic and his companions were pulled into Cyber Space when they came into proximity of the islands. For reasons that are never fully explained, Sonic was able to break free and return to the material world. What's more, he could come and go without creating a breach for The End.
Sensing an opportunity, The End told Sonic that the way to rescue Tails and Amy from the digital dimension was to destroy the Titans. Sage, aware that the Titans were the only force on Earth capable of stopping The End and only knowing Sonic as her father's mortal enemy, attempted to stop him.
Sage refused to share any information with Sonic about why she was protecting the Titans, and even hoped to earn Robotnik's favor by finally disposing of his nemesis. As Sonic defeated the Titans one by one, Sage realized there was a minuscule chance that the hedgehog, empowered by the Chaos Emeralds, could defeat The End.
Sage's Fate
Sage went to her father and proposed an alliance with Sonic as the only way to free Eggman without risking his life. Despite having teamed up with Sonic in the past, Robotnik refused to countenance the idea, so𒁃 Sage continued trying to stop Sonic. When he ultimately defeated ✨the Titans and broke the barrier between reality and Cyber Space, Sage was left with no choice but to insist that Sonic and Eggman work together to stop The End.
Sage and Eggman helped Sonic recover the Chaos Emeralds, allowing him to transform into Super Sonic. After Super Sonic defeated the fourth Titan, Supreme, which The End had been using as a physical body, the entity withdrew to space in preparation to destroy the Earth.
Sage installed herself on Supreme's onboard computer and accompanied Super Sonic into orbit, where the two fought against The End. After Super Sonic struck the final blow, The End attempted to self-destruct, endangering Earth. Sage piloted Supreme into The End's core, preve💦nting the explosion at the cost of her life.
After the events on the Starfall Islands, Dr. Robotnik was able to reconstruct Sage from data stored in Cyber Space, using the Ancients' archival technology. She may, therefore, appear in future adventures.
Why Can Sage Enter And Leave Cyber Space?
Apart from Sonic, Sage is the only known person who can freely travel between the material world and Cyber Space. It is li♛kely that, as a purely digital being, she is able to use the technology of the Ancients to project herself into the physical world, essentially the opposite process of physical beings uploaded to Cyber Space.
This appears to come at a cost, however, as Sage shows signs of heavy Cyber Corruption, a state inflicted on beings that frequently travel between the 🍰two worlds. It is possible that, 🐬through repeated projections, Sage could find herself trapped between realities as Sonic briefly was shortly after The End escaped.
