Don't Count On Sonic Adventure Getting A Remake Any Time Soon

It Sounds Like Adventure 3 Is More Likely At This Point

Sonic runs past Shadow, who is holding a green Chaos Emerald, in Sonic Adventure 2.

It looks like that isn't the case anymore, though. and , Sonic Team lead Takashi Iizuka spoke about the possi🍷bility of a Sonic Adventure remake .

Iizuka noted that he hears about Adventure remakes a lot and is "really" appreciative of fans wanting more from the Adventure series. However, the Sonic Team lead says that it would take a lot to bring both games up to the "standards and expectations of what the🔜 modern 🙈gaming audience would want".

When I think ൲about what it would take to kind of bring that game up to the standards and expectations of what the modern gaming audience would want, I think it would be about as much time and energy as it would to make a new title. - Takashi Iizuka

With that in mind, Ii🐎zuka says that it would take about as much time and energy as it would to make Sonic Adventure 3, which he admits he's considering instꦅead of doing remakes. That is why there are "currently no plans" for a remake of either the first or second game.

Even though Iizuka has previously seemed more positive about remaking Sonic Adventure and Sega has🍒 shared plans to remake some꧟ of the Blue Blur's games, it does seem like Iizuka is being genuine instead of hiding a surprise. Still, this is the closes🍬t we've come to hearing about Adventure 3, so there is a bit of a silver lining.
