Winterhold would be a much, much more interesting place had it not been destroyed in a magical accident. The once-thriving city has been reduced to an icy crater, a handful of surviving buildings, and the College of Winterhold. It remains the best place to learn and research magic in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim despite its ruined state.
As its few remaining residents acknowledge, you would only be visiting the city for the College. Without anything else of value, Winterhold is slowly witheri꧂ng away amidst the snow of the north as its populatio♊n leave for better opportunities in less destroyed places elsewhere in the province.
Winterhold Quests
The city itself does not have any interesting quests. There are a handful of short, simple quests to complete for the residents that are not much more than fetch quests. You might find it a useful way of earning money, though they do not offer any unique rewards.
Outside of going to Winterhold to enroll in the college, you will be going there to learn more about Elder Scrolls for the quest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elder Knowledge.
The College Of Winterhold
Any player trying to build a magic-based Dragonborn will want to visit the College. It consolidates almost all the best trainers and stores for magic in one place while giving you access to some of the most powerful magic items in Skyrim.
You can join the College by walking to the bridge and passing a test set by Faralda, a staff member.
How To Become Thane Of Winterhold
Like many of Skyrim's smaller cities, you start your path to Thaneship by helping the Jarl with a personal problem. In this case, you will help them find a missing helmet from a randomly selected dungeon.
You will only have to approach the Jarl and offer your help to start the quest.
After you complete this step, you will need to help three residents before you are awarded the title. You will be given the Blade of Winterhold as an additional reward.
Unfortunately, you will not be allowed to purchase property, and you will not be given a housecarl due to a lack of both things within the hold.
Merchants
Winterhold relies on the College for business. Visitors often stay at the inn while a general goods store supplies both the College and the city with their basic needs. Former staff can even be found within the city, plying their trade away from the College's restrictions.
