The world of Skyrim is crawling with creatures, some tame and some aggressive, but all living and breathing the very same air as you! It really serves to make the world feel full, to have creatures scurrying up trees as you wander through a 𝐆fores꧟t, or to suddenly be confronted on the road by a pack of angry wolves.
However, the variety of creatures in vanilla (un-modded) Skyrim just isn't enough for some people. The most dedicated have taken it upon themselves to add to the menagerie of beasts and opponents you find as you adventure through this fantastical land. Here, we've highlighted the very best.
6 💖 Wild Penguins 🎐
This simple mod adds friendly Penguins to the icy regions in the north. It's a nice addition that won't burn out your GPU to run and makes the frigid parts of Skyrim feel fuller. The creator explains in the description that the mod was born because they have been obsessed with Antartica.
Like other animals, these creatures are pretty tame. If you kill them, you can loot their meat and blubber as ingredients to use in cooking special new recipes. In addition to the birds, the creator also added realistic rookeries for them that can be found between Dawnstar and Windhelm. The base mod is pretty graphically simple, but you can install a separate retexture mod if your computer can handle it. There, you'll have five varieties and can choose your favorite, like the King Penguin or the Spotted Penguin.
5 Gelatinous Cubes and Vori༒plasms
Do you ever wish Skyrim was a little more like a horror game? Have you been aching to feel like a fantasy Ghostbuster? Do you want to get your revenge on all green apple Jello for the crimes it has committed? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we've got the mod for you!
The Gelatinous Cubes and Voriplasms mod adds these two new creatures to Skyrim, with a few variants of each! Gelatinous Cubes generally hang out in caves or old ruins, where they can absorb organic matter to live on. Voriplasms, meanwhile, are native to the Black Marsh, but have recently become a nuisance in Skyrim out of Morthal's swamps. Along with the two creatures, there are also two new ingredients to play with after you defeat them: Cube Slime and Voriplasm Slime.
4 ও House Cats
If you're like us, you may have been disappointed by the representation of friendly dogs at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:homes across Skyrim, but no cats! Sure, there might be an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:entire sentient race🥂 of ♊cat people called Khajiit, but that's besides the point. There are werewolves, right? Which are kind of like humanoid dogs. Where are our cat companions?
Thankfully, the House Cat mod saves the day! It adds house cats with collars to homes and inns all over Skyrim. If you journey to the College of Winterhold, you'll even find a unique feline friend with a familiar hat. His name? Puss in Boots.
3 🐠 Diverse Dragons Collection 3 🔜
Do you ever get th🥂e feeling that dragons in Skyrim are all kinda... same-y? Us too. There are 14 types of dragons in vanilla Skyrim, but it can still get boring after a while! And, once you're high enough level, it's not really a challenge. What you need is a mod that expands on the dragon ranks with new types and attacks to keep you on your toes.
This mod has gone through several iterations and the Diverse Dragons Collection 3 is the newest and best yet! You'll be blown away by the incredible models of these dragons, who are bound to catch your eye even high in the sky above you. There are a total of 28 brand new dragons added to the game with this mod (in addition to the 14 vanilla types, not instead of) with 19 new abilities and 16 new breath attacks. One of our favorites is the Aether Breath attack, which prevents all of your stats from regenerating. Players looking for a challenge can't go wrong here.
2 Bogmort - Mud Monsters Of Morhal Swamp 🦋
When you wander into swamps in vanilla Skyrim, you might encounter a few Mudcrabs, maybe an angry Spriggan or two, but that's about it. The grey and difficult-to-navigate landscape doesn't do the experience of adventuring there any favors, either. Enter: Bogmort.
The Bogmort mod prompts the undead in the Morthal swamps to suddenly start walking again. The creator has truly thought of everything, including 16 variants, the chance to get covered in the mud and subsequently debuffed, new weapons and ingredients, and the ability to create a Bogmort Thrall - if you're clever enough to track down the instructions in-game.
1 ♋ ꦏ The Killer Rabbit Of Caerbannog
In the beloved 1975 movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table are led to the Cave of Caerbannog by an old warlock, where they find a gruesome murder scene. Upon investigation, they only find a rabbit, and underestimate its potential for violence. One creator took it upon themselves to recr🐼eate the scene🌼 in Skyrim.
This mod adds the Cave of Caerbannog to the game, along with all the gore we see in the movie. Of course, the small albino bunny is present too. We won't spoil it for you, but upon approaching the Killer, some mischief will ensue. The creator says in the description that this is just a fun homage mod and you shouldn't expect too much from it as far as attack power, "just enough to leave [the rabbit's] origin and nature open to discussion."
