Who Is Arvak?
Arvak is a horse that you can encounter within the Soul Cairn in the Dawnguard DLC. Unlike 🍸other steeds in Skyrim, you can summon Arvak using a spell, which is exclusive to this mount. Arvak is a skeleton, but he can still function in t♓he same way as any other horse.
How To Learn The "Summon Arvak" Spell In Skyrim
First, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you need to enter the Soul Cairn, which you can do by following the "Chasing Echos" quest during the Dawnguard DLC's main storyline — you'll need to complete this regardless of whether you side with the Dawnguard or Volkihar Vampires. Become a vampire before entering the Soul Cairn or allow Serena to partially trap your soul inside a Soul Gem.
When you enter the Soul Cairn and start walking down the main path, you'll encounter a soul shouting about Arvak. He'll plead with you to find Arvak, but you'll first need to retrieve Arvak's Skull to summon the horse.
Along this path, you may encounter enemies of a few different varieties, so make sure to bring a weapon and a powerful suit of armor. Luckily, most of the enemies are few and far between, but they're most common at landmarks and structures throughout the Soul Cairn.
You can discover Arvak's Skull east of the location where you find Valerica; at the location in the picture above. You may need to defeat a few Mistmen, Wrathmen, and Bonemen before picking up Arvak's Skull, but most of the enemies are quite weak, so you can easily defeat them with any ranged or melee weapon.

How To Summon Arvak In Skyrim
Once you learn the "Summon Arvak" spell, you can go into the Conjuration menu and equip the spell. The base Magicka cost of "Summon Arvak" is 136, so that's the only requirement you need for casting it.
Once you summon Arvak, you can ride your new horse in any outside location in Skyrim, Solstheim, or the exterior locations of Blackreach and the Soul Cairn. Like regular horses, you can't summon or ride Arvak inside dungeons, buildings, or certain cities.
