You'll have seen seemingly endless comparisons between 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skull and Bones and other pirate video games. A lot of those point back to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, the game that originated the idea that eventually became Skull and Bones, but one that can't really be played as an alternative now.

10 Games To Play I𒊎f You 💙Like Skull And Bones
Ubiso𒆙ft's take on piracy after Black Flag might leave you asking for more naval battles and other tales searchinꩲg for treasures.
Additionally, you'll have seen a lot of people mention 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sea of Thieves as the other big comparisoཧn point, which makes a lot of sense. These are two live service games that allow co-op and PVP focused around the fantasy of bಌeing a pirate. Which of them takes the crown of the best pirate game you can play with friends?
5 🐈 The Co-Op Aspect
Fun Among Thieves
Right out of the gate, Skull and Bones loses a point. It is indeed a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:live-service game with co-op, as described in the metaphorical box, but it doesn't really give the experience a lot of people were expecting. You can sail with your friends and do missions together, but the party size is capped at three, one less than Sea of Thieves, and the interactions are extremely limited. You can't join each other's ships, and there isn't much to do on land, so playing co-op isn't as rewarding as it could've been.

꧂ Skull And Bones: How To Find And Harvest Ac⛄acia
Locate Aꦐcacia trees on the map, master the harvesting minigame, ไand stockpile wood like a true pirate.
Sea of Thieves, on the other hand, excels in this department. Players can make a crew of up to four people, and they share a single ship, whose size depends on how many players are in the crew. Additionally, players can head to islands together on treasure hunts, fight skeletons as a team and overall intera🌟ct a lot more than can be done in Skull and Bones. If you want to ha🌟ve fun with your friends as the main purpose of your gaming session, Sea of Thieves will likely be the better choice.
4 What🍸 About Solo Play?
For Those Lone Wolves
Understandably, no game can excel at everything. Sea of Thieves is the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:king of the co-op♏ side of pirating but lacks a lot when it comes to solo con🌞tent. Sailing the high seas with friends to keep you company and share tasks is fun, but doing it solo quickly gets boring.
You have to run between the map and the wheel during exploration or between the cannons and the wheel during combat. PVP is also allowed at all times, so you could♒ very well be destroye✱d by a massive Galleon with four players and lose all your loot with little to no chance of retaliation.
What Skull and Bones lacks in Co-Op, it makes up for in solo play. You have full control of your ship, which basically feels like a car with guns floating in the ocean. It is easy to control, snappy to shoot, and perfect for any solo player. Furthermore, PVP is limited to certain areas and events, so you'll never lose your precious loot to a squad of players roleplaying the pirate life. You still might lose it to AI Rogues, but that's a story for another day. If you're heading out to high sea solo, you'll probably be better off with Skull and Bones.
3 Combat
Guns Blazing
Combat is a much more subjective topic. All in all, it really comes down to the aforementioned point of cooperation and what you expect from the game. Sea of Thieves, despite the cartoony graphics and goofy-looking characters, has a lot more of a realistic approach. That makes combat more immersive while making it slightly tedious. You need to replenish cannonballs in your inventory every few seconds, you can only fire the cannon you're controlling and, if you're playing solo, you'll have to run back and forth to make sure you don't end up swimming with the fishes.
The more realistic-looking Skull and Bones opts for arcade combat. As we've said previously, you're essentially controlling a medieval version of the Batmobile. The ship is very easy to sail; you can shoot from all directions of your ship at will, hitting rocks does little to no damage, and you can carry a nearly infinite number of cannonballs to shoot at your enemies, which automatically teleport from your cargo hold to the cannons.
You'll prefer the combat that suits you better in the end. If you want to collaborate with friends and have a more immersive experience, play Sea of Thieves. If you just want to blow ships up, ram into them, or pepper them from afar as if you were playing World of Warships, you're better off playing Skull and Bones.
2 ✅ Exploration♕
Looking For Booty
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Exploration is a big part of these two games. After all, one of the most interesting parts of the pirate fantasy is the idea of charting the unknown parts of the w♛orld while not being sure if the ocean was coming to a 90º degree drop at some point.
In Sea of Thieves, exploration is really diverse. The ocean feels alive and treacherous. Waves can reach absurd heights, you can sail into a Kraken or a Megalodon, you need to work around the wind t♚o reach your objectives. Crucially, you can also explore huge islands with interesting lore, treasure and enemies.
Unfortunately, Skull and Bones falls a bit flat when it comes to exploring. The map is huge and visually diverse. Resources are spread throughout the coasts with little islands sprinkled between. It is fun to explore for a bit, but you'll quickly move on to the next thing because there isn't that much to see, really. You can't do much on land; the sea is mostly calm, and the game will rarely give you a sense of discovery when you reach a specific outpost or location.
If you're looking for a game to meet your explorer's needs, grab a friend or two and play Sea of Thieves at night, with the lights dimmed, and soak in the fantastic atmosphere.
1 W👍hich Is The Better Pirate Game? ꧟
The Pirate's Life For Thee
A Pirate game isn't exactly a real term or sub-genre, but you get the idea. If you're looking for a videogame that fulfills the expected parameters of being a pirate: exploration, combat, comradery, etc; Sea of Thieves is the better choice. You will be immersed in the experience, and you'll feel excited and scared, like you're on a real adventure.
Yet, if what you're looking for is intense combat mixed with the more business side of piracy, Skull and Bones will serve you better. With both games being available through subscription services, Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft +, you can also do what we're doing and bounce between the two as you please. Now go, matey, the seas await!
