Being a teen is never easy. While teenage sims hit their stride with 2022's High School Years expansion pack, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Sims 4's Growing Together further explores the realities of being a teenager through 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:its "milestone" system.
If you remember The Sims 2, you'll remember its memory system. Your sim's life would be peppered with recollections of important and not-so-important memories. Their first good grade, the first time they dealt with a fire, their first kiss, and anything else the game deemed notable. Milestones function in the same way, giving your sims' lives substance.
6 🔥 👍 General Firsts
Many of these overlap with adulthood milestones, though your sims will likely experience them as teens first, hence their inclusion here. These milestones include making a best friend, having a first kiss, declaring an enemy, and getting a job. They can also include region-specific achievements, like reaching Mt. Komorebi's summit or visiting Sixam.
You can pursue these milestones at any time, but it's worth noting that you don't have to wait until adulthood to chase these dreams. So if your sim wants to conquer a mountain, you better get them some climbing gear.
5 Puberty
You don't have to try to get this one – it will come to you no matter what. High School Years introduced puberty as a concept to the Sims. Sure, they could get acne in The Sims 2, but High School Years took it up by introducing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:growing facial and body hair, sudden mood swings, and general teen angst.
Now, your sim can memorialize the most awkward time of their life in their milestones. All it takes from you is a few in-game days of play before your teen sim is hit with the joys of growing up. They'd probably rather forget it.
4 🌼 Graduated High School
This is the second easiest milestone, requiring little to no action. You don't have to put a ton of effort into getting your teen sim through high school – they just have to maintain a steady grade and generally keep out of trouble. They don't have to do extracurricular activities, throw the best party, or make the most friends. So don't sweat if they're bad at selling thrifted outfits or a terrible poster on social media.
You don't have to engage in much of anything to get your sim to that podium at the end of their high school run. Cs get degrees, after all, so this one is a reasonably stress-free affair for you. Your teen sim, however, may disagree – especially when the beast that is puberty is making their lives really difficult.
3 Dropped Out Of High School ♏ ✨
For some teens, high school just isn't the right vibe. If that's true for your teen sim, then you can pursue the "Dropped Out of High School" milestone. Getting your sim to drop out at any point in time is not difficult. All they have to do is speak to the principal and state they're dropping out. You can drop out through the computer if you don't want your sim to set foot on Copperdale's campus again.
While you won't be able to participate in after-school activities anymore and, of course, will be unable to attend school, your sim can still participate in prom if they want to. Their career options will be slimmer, and they'll be unable to attend university, but you can always remedy that by getting an online high school diploma.
2 ✃ 𝓰 Expelled From High School
Here's where you have to make some effort. Copperdale High School is no stranger to pranks or otherwise mischievous antics, but actually getting expelled means you've taken it up a notch. Or two. This isn't to say that your sim can't get into a little bit of trouble every now and then; even the most well-behaved teens can have a little bit of a rebellious streak or fail to complete their homework; this is just going above and beyond.
Your teen sim will have to slack off as much as possible to achieve this milestone. Missing classes, neglecting homework, and otherwise getting on the faculty's bad side with pranks and a generally bad attitude is a surefire way to get yourself thrown out of the education system. If you reach this milestone, know that specific careers will be barred from your sim. If you have Discover University installed, they will be unable to attend post-secondary education until they get an online diploma.
1 🌠 🀅 Prom Royalty
If your sim is a social butterfly, they might covet this milestone. Prom hangs over every teen's head for their entire high school career, though you can choose to ditch it with your teen sim's friends if they're not the types to be into it. But, if your teen sim is the kind of person who likes the idea of prom, then this milestone will require a little bit of work from you.
To become Prom Royalty, your sim must work the room at the event itself. As with all significant social events in The Sims 4, there is a list of things you must do to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:achieve the gold rating. At prom, you'll have to dance, take pictures in the photo booth, talk to people, hype up other sims' outfits, eat food, and drink, and generally keep very busy until the winner is announced. You can't coast on your sim's charisma – you must be highly active in directing your sim. But, hey, they'll have the memories, and the crown, forever.
