Remaking Silent Hill 2, then is no easy task. One such area that has seen signifiꦿcant changes in the remake are boss fights.

Silent Hill 2 Preview - In My Restless Dreams, I See That Remaster🍬ed Town
Bloober Team h🐠as come out swinging with a remake that defies all of my expectations.
Flesh Lip is one of the first bosses you battle that you can actually kill, and it's only fitting that they look so unsettling. Unlike the earlier Pyramid Head battle, Flesh Lip will be tactful about ho🐽w they move around the arena, taking James by surprise. With our help though, you'll have this nightmare defeated in no time.
Where Is Flesh Lip Fought?
Flesh Lip, just like in the original game, is battled at the very end of Brookhaven Hospital. You will find them after you finished the rooftop section of Brookhaven, after Pyramid Head ⛎throws you through the floor and you pass through a series of solitary confinement cells.
This is your last chance to explore Brookhaven Hospital, so make sure to save your game and do any 🐼final exploring while you have the chance. After you have defeated Flesh Lip, you can no lo🌃nger return to this version of Brookhaven Hospital.
How To Defeat Flesh Lip
After Laura locks you into the final room of Brookhaven, the dreadful Flesh Lip will approach, descending from the ceiling. Unlike most enemies, Flesh Lip will not mindlessly flail after James but will use more conniving tactics to take him down. Flesh Lip also continually changes as the fight progresses, so make su🦂re to keep active on how they're moving.
Phase One
In Flesh Lip's first phase, they will remain above the ceiling plates, dashing around and breaking through them to take James by surprise. As they do this, more and more ceiling tiles will be permanently removed, a♑llowing you to track Flesh Lip as they run around above the ceiling♏.
While you can attack them while they're running around, it's easiest to do so when they're hanging instead. The metallic cage around their body deflects most bullets, so you only have two options - attack their legs (which you can shoot or hit with the Steel Pipe), or shoot their hand to cause them to collapse.
They will remain immobilized for a few moments o🧜nce they collapse, allowing you to both attack them with the Steel Pipe or your guns. After they are🗹 no longer stunned, they will return to the ceiling, continuing their assault on James.
After Flesh Lip takes enough damage, their mechanical arms will unfold. While their pattern remains the same during this phase, they can now attack while immobilized and hit in a wider range when they swing from the ceiling.
Phase Two
Once Flesh Lip has been damaged enough, all of the metal cage around them will fall away and their final two mechanical arms will reveal themselves. Once this second phase begins, Flesh Lip will mostlꩲy remain grounded, chasing James around the room with ease.
With all four arms, Flesh Lip unlocks a myriad of new moves, such as a multi-hit attack string with their forefront mechanical arms. They can also chase James and quickly attack without delay. With the length of their arms, they can easily reach James in most parts of the room. It is recommended to dodge to the side for most of Flesh Lip's moves as they h𓃲ave incredibl📖e range, even if James backsteps.
They can also spin on the spot with all four mechanical arms outstretched. Because of how fast this move can be pulled o▨ff, it's best to keep your distꦺance from Flesh Lip at all times. While it was reasonable during the first phase to use some melee attacks, they should be avoided entirely during the second phase.
Flesh Lip also retains some metal armour on their back, meaning you can't damage them from behind with melee or ranged attacks.
Rarely, Flesh Lip will jump back into the ceiling. Rather than staying up there like in the first phase, they will instead run to an area far away from where they entered before dropping back down, typically right above James if possible. Try to keep trackꦆ of them at all times so they don't literally get the drop on you.
This forms the entirety of the Flesh Lip boss fight. They're a significant jump in difficulty over the regular enemies you come across, so don't be afraid to use up plenty of your healing items and more powerful weapons like the Shotgun. Keep close𝕴 to them and time your dodges well and you'll have them beaten with ease.
After they are defeated, you are automatically brought to the ൲next area in the Otherwor💟ld.
