Shadow La🉐byrinth is a phenomenal platformer that puts you through various environmental dangers to keep y෴ou on your toes.
Pink G-Host: Guileness Laia𒀰 is one of these final bosses in the areas, but it's not a particularly difficult one if you have just one trick up your sleeve. This battle can take a long time, but it'll also be the one where you get defeated the leas𒁃t.
Where To Find Pink G-Host: Guileness Laia
After you go for the first time in Shadow Labyrinth, you'll fall down to the Land of the Fugitives at the end. Going through this land will introduce you to the main hub in the game where you can purchase various items. However, you'll also be asked to head over to the Frontline Base here.
You'll find the Ping G-Host: Guileness Laia boss at the end of this base, and you can see its rough location on the top right side of Frontline Base Front in a secluded part. You'll have to go through a bunch of different parts of this base to finally re🗹ach the boss fight.
How To Defeat Pink G-Host: Guileness Laia
The body of Gꦺuileness Laia can be divided into two parts:෴
- The main big body that constantly moves on the battlefield, which is what you have to hit to deal damage. This body is covered with a barrier. You first have to break the barrier, then deal damage to the core. The barrier respawns after a few seconds.
- And the grapples that spawn on the chain covering the outskirts of the battlefield. These grapples are the only method that the boss uses to deal damage to you. You'll face blue, green, yellow, pink, and orange grapples based on the phase of the battle.
The general mechanics of the fight simply require you to dodge different attacks performed by each grapple while consi🌟stently dealing damage to the boss. When you're damaging the core, the stun bar also rises fast, making it possible to stun this boss with ease. Here are th🍨e attacks performed by each grapple:
- Blue grapples simply launch themselves at you and deal damage on hit.
- Green grapples perform the first launch attack and then keep hitting the same location a bunch of times.
- Yellow grapples hit your current location and then trigger a vertical AoE attack.
- Orange grapples trigger a semi-circle-shaped AoE attack after hitting the ground.
- Finally, the Pink grapple stays at the top and shoots projectiles constantly at your location.
The boss changes phases after losing about 20 percent HP each time, with the thresholds being at 80, 60, 40, and 20 percent.
The grapples on the battlefield also change whe🔯never the boss changes phases in the fol🙈lowing order:
Phase |
HP Threshold In Percentage |
Grapples Present |
---|---|---|
1 |
80-100 |
2x Blue Grapples |
2 |
60-80 |
2x Green Grapples |
3 |
40-60 |
1x Blue, Green, and Yellow Grapple each |
4 |
20-40 |
2x Blue Grapple and 1x Pink Grapple |
5 |
0-20 |
1x Blue, Green, Orange, and Yellow Grapple each |
With all this in mind, there's one simple trick you can use in this battle. As you'll notice, all the Grapple attacks have a red shine at the start, which means that you can parry them✱. If you parry any Grapple attack outside 🥂of the pink one, it'll get dismantled for a few seconds, giving you time to hit the boss.
Of course, the time you have will reduce with phases since there will be more Grapples, but you'll barely have time to use any attacks if you try to dodge them. As long as you parry all the grapple attacks, you can easily defeat this boss. M♏oreover, as soon as you enter the last phase, you can use your Gaia mode t𝔍o get through it.
Pink G-Host: Guileness Laia Rewards
As you'd expect from a boss with multiple Grapple attacks, that's also your reward after this fight. Once you get the grapple, you can use it to pull yourself towards a shining blue orb suspended in the air, the blue grass on the walls, or different enemies.
This ability will unlock a ton of places that you couldn't reach in the previous areas, so it's worth checking back after you get it.
