Any game worth their salt will cost over $100, and that's a fact collectors will just have to accept. In addition, it's recommended to legally back up these games and experience them through emulation because Saturn discs are notorious for disc rot.

Virtually every system has an expensive horror game, and the Saturn has a few. The first one is Lunacy, which contains light horror elements but is mostly an FMV adventure title similar to Kenji Eno's D. The story is actually pretty good and akin to D's quality, but the puzzles... not so much.
Due to how obscure this game is, even compared to other Saturn horror titles, is likely why it's so rare. Later on, the developers made a more traditional survival horror game, Deep Fear, that never came out in North America. It's objectively worse but far more entertaining because it's a "so bad it's good" game.

One of the more niche FPS hidden gems around this time was Lobotomy Software's PowerSlave. Their rarest game on the Saturn is Magic Knight Rayearth.
Based on the Japanese anime, this is actually a pretty good RPG game with a chibi artstyle that still holds up. The title could easily pass off as an indie game now in its looks. Despite not coming with many goodies like Working Designs Lunar 1 and 2 PS1 releases, it's worth more than both of those combined.

Some of the rarest Saturn games are titles that people actually want to play, and one of them is Burning Rangers. Developed by Sonic Team and built from the ground up for the Saturn, it's a completely unique action experience. With a firefighter premise of saving civilians, the way you move and perform combat is something unseen in that generation.
The game is expensive not only due to demand but also because it was one of the last North American releases for the system. That's typically a sign of a high-rarity game, especially if it's a first-party title.

What makes the Net Link variant so rare is how you got it back then. To get t🌊his game, you had to order it directly from Sega.
As one could guess, not many people did this, and combined with Saturn's already small American userbase back then, you can see why the price is so high. It's sort of similar to the incredibly rare variant of the NES 2, which featured AV out. That console also required you to get it directly from Nintendo and is similarly hard to find.
