At long last, Sega remembered that it has a Not Sonic series, reviving Samba de Amigo after 15 years. For ages, Sega's Dreamcast lineup of game characters had been relegated to supporting roles, getting a spot in team-up games with Sonic if they were lucky. But with168澳洲幸运5开奖网: Samba de Amigo: Party Central coming to Switch on August 29 of this year, fans are hoping more classics could be brought back from t♚he dead.
Better yet, Sega is actually well aware of this feeling among fans. Speaking with , Sonic Team creative officer Takashi Iizuka hints that more revivals are on the way, with Sega "ramping up and hiring lots of people" recently, and saying that we might "hea꧟r about these kinds of titles" soon꧋.
Towards the end of the interview, Iizuka is asked about Sega's projects outside of Sonic, especially now that the Blue Blur so has many releases to juggle. While Iizuka can't share much, he certainly sounds optimistic that classic Sega fans are in for a treat.
"These days I’m the creative officer for Sonic the Hedgehog, so I’m totally focused on that side of th🐓e business," says Iizuka. "So I can’t really speak for anyone else, but Sonic Team in Japan has been ramping up and hiring lots of people recently - they have more people than ever. So there may be some future where you’ll be hearing about these kinds of titles."
Well, that's definitely not a no, or even letting us down gently. While it doesn't sound like we should expect a Nights remake to shadowdrop tomorrow, Sega is at least cooking something with its larger workforce - something hopefully related to a long-abandoned franchise that could do with a li⛄ttle love.
Of course, Iizuka could just be referring to reports from last year that stated Sega is reviving both Crazy Taxi and Jet Se𒉰t Radio. We haven't had any official confirmations just yet, but Jet Set Radio is about to get a crossover with Roller Champions, so Sega is thinking of the franchise at least. Both have potential with modern audiences too and would definitely be welcomed by older fans who have stuck around since the Dreamcast days.
There are other candidates for new games if this isn't referring to the Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio rumours. Space Channel 5 and ChuChu Rocket could both do with some attention, not making many appearances outside of games like Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing instalments. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The former is actual꧋ly getting a movie, so it would be a great time for another game - and one🌌 that hopefully gets a non-VR release, unlike its 2020 instalment.
