The game🅷 mechanics of Satisfactory can seem complex at first, but these ⛦helpful tips and tricks should see any beginner through to the end.

There are five Phases of the Space Elevator project, the first being unlocked after you complete the onboarding process. Completing a Phase also unlocks new Tiers, which each have different Milestones to complete, unlocking necessary machines to make items needed for the next Tier. Below, we'll take aꦏ look at how to complete Phase 1, including how to make Smart Plating.

How To Complete Phase 1 Of The Space Elevator

Smart Plating loaded into the Space Elevator to complete Phase 1 of the project in Satisfactory.

To complete Phase 1 of the Space Elevator, you need to deliver 50 Smart Plating. These items can't be handcrafted, and cost one Reinforced Iron Plate and one Rotor to produce.

You only need 50 Smart Plating to complete this Phase, but you'll need much more for future Space Elevator Tiers, so it's a good id✅ea to at least set up a small-scale factory to produce this item.

There are several ways to go about this, but the simplest is to have one Constructor or Assembler for each step required to make the final product. Luckily, every component of Smart Plating derives from iron, making the process relatively simple. Here's the breakdown starting from i🎀ron ore.

  • 1 Miner on a normal or pure iron node
  • 2 Smelters making Iron Ingots
  • 1 Constructor making Iron Plates
  • 2 Constructors making Iron Rods
  • 2 Constructors making Screws
  • 1 Assembler making Rotors
  • 1 Assembler making Reinforced Iron Plates
  • 1 Assembler making Smart Plating

Make sure you also have enough power to keep these machines running.

You can definitely optimize this further through Overlocking and Underclocking (if you've unlocked the necessary research in the MAM), or by adding additional machines to deal with excess materials.

Another way to complete this step is to set up smaller relays that produce Reinforced Iron Plates and Rotors, then storing them into a container. Then, once you have 50 of each, put them into an Assembler to make all 50 Smart Plating in one go, which you can then del꧑iver to the S♌pace Elevator.

This saves you from having to optimize the entire iron-to-Smart Plating production line, instead focusing on its individual components. Plus, you'll need tons of Reinforced Iron Plates and Rotors for many different recipes, so it's always a good id♐ea to stock up on these over time.

Keep in mind that Phase 2 requires you to deliver 1,000 Smart Plating, in addition to othe🐟r items, so getting a headstart on a Smart Plating-dedicated factory is definitely a good idea.

Either way, you'll eventually produce enough Smart Plating to finish the first Phase of the Space Elevator. Once you've delivered them, interact with the Space Elevator's menu and Load and Seal the package, then watch the fruits of your labor.

Completing Phase 1 will unlock Tiers 3 and 4, which provide very useful Milestones like Coal Power, Steel Production, and Blueprints, amoꦫng other things. This will also let you get started on Phase 2 of the 🦄project.
