How To Unlock The Gas Mask
The Gas Mask is unlocked through the Mycelia Research tree in the MAM. This Research tree unlocks after discovering your first piece of Mycelia, harvested from mushroom-like plants around the map.
With the Mycelia tree unlocked, you'll need to complete the first node, Mycelia, by spending five Mycelia, and the second node Fabric, by spending 25 Mycelia and 100 Biomass. Then, you can unlock the Gas Mask research node by spending 🥂the following materials.
- 10 Coal
- 50 Fabric
- 50 Steel Pipe
Once you've done that, the recipe for the Gas Mask will be unlocked. Head over to the Equipment Workshop, and you can craft a Gas Mask using the following𝓀 ma🐠terials.

To use the Gas Mask, first equip it to your head slot from your inventory. To protect you from gas, you'll also need a stock of Gas Filters, which will automatically be consumed from your inventory in place of you taking poison damage.
Gas Filters are crafted using two Fabric, four Coal, and two Iron Plates each.
While in poison gas, one Gas Filter drains every 45 seconds, so you'll definitely want to𒆙 bring a lot of if you plan on staying in a poison cloud for a long time.
