While they don't appear to be in celebration of Hello Kitty's 50th birthday specifically, have now joined it.

Sanrio's three newest Dreamland Squishmallows all popped up at Hot Topic late on Sunday night ready for a new week. Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll each getting a new design so all bases are covered and there's something for everyone. Each Squishmallow is $24.90 which means you'll be paying a little less than $75 for the set, or a shade under $60 if you buy them in time to benefit from Hot Topic's 20 percent off promotion. The three characters have been put in pastel-colored Dreamland outfits and are eight inches tall, so among the smaller Squishmallow sizes. It's not specified that the Squishmallows will be Hot Topic exclusives, but at the time of typing this that seems to be the only place you can buy them.

Kuromi Dreamland Squishmallow

Sanrio's Dreamland Kuromi Squishmallow is part of a collection that puts the company's characters in subdued, pastel tones. The mischievous rabbit has a pastel purple and green outfit on with a strawberry on its chest.

Unlike the 50th anniversary Hello Kitty plush revealed last week, Hot Topic's trio of Dreamland plushes aren't pre-orders. They're available now, so they will be with you a few days after placing your order should everything go as planned. The very special birthday Squishmallow, while available for pre-order for roughly the same price as the Dreamland options, won't ship until it's released in September. The anniversary Squishmallow has gold eyes and whiskers and a shiny 50-shaped bow on Hello Kitty's right ear.

Hello Kitty fans will have to wait until the mascot's 50th year is over for what is arguably the most exciting thing to come for the adorable Japanese cat. It was announced during Nintendo's June Direct that Hello Kitty Adventure Island, a game that has been exclusive to Apple Arcade until now, is coming to Nintendo Switch. That cross-platform jump won't happen until 2025, though.
