Unlocking fishing is somethi𝄹ng that happens over the course of the story, and there are plenty of fish to be caught. If you're looking for any particular fish, we might just have the answers and directions you're looking for!

How To Unlock Fishing
Fishing is unlocked as part of the main storyline. Once you reach the Winter Village and start completing quests there, you'll meet the local fisherman, Watarase. He will give you your first fishing🐽 rod and teachඣ you how to fish. It's that easy!
You will also gain the PescaPedia, a ca🐬talogue of all the fish you can find that you can access in the Adventure Log. This ꧙will fill out as you catch fish, and you can head to Watarase and show him the log as it completes to gain rewards, just like the Frog Statue kid in Spring Village.
The PescaPedia will only update when you catch a fish. Obtaining a fish by other means does n🍬ot fill out its entry.

Note that while each fish has a biome, plenty can be found in🐼 multiple areas, the biome🦩 listed is likely where they are most likely to be found.
