Choosing the right starting character in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song is important - it dictates how strong your starting party is and where you start in the world. Since this drastically affects how easy it is to unlock the rest of the areas in the game,♏ it can make a big difference.
Gray is cited as a difficult character, to begin with a lot of the time - h🐻e starts in a remote location without many resources and has a quest that involves getting uncomfortably close to very dangerous dinos. In actuality, with ꧃a few tricks and some pieces of advice, he has one of the most powerful starts in the game.
Overview: Gray
As with all other characters, Gray begins the game with a First-aid Kit and a Smoke Bomb Pouch, but he also begins the game with a Treasure Map, which is an incredibly rare item. He begins in the port town of Jelton, and begins with only one quest to complete: he's on a search for some treasure in the Plains - but he's not alone.

- Gray is a Swordsman, a class that gives him a nice bonus to his damage output. He can safely make it to the end of the game without changing classes, and makes for a very potent damage dealer with some jewels spent leveling up his weapon skills. Foils in particular are fantastic defensive weapons.
- Myriam is set to become a spellcaster, but has no class. Consider grabbing her the Blacksmith class immediately in Jelton just to give her a quick boost to her fire spells and then give her a more advanced magic class later in the game, when jewels are more plentiful.
- Galahad is a bulky character who can work really well on the front line with Clubs or Long Swords, or in the middle line with Lances. Bewitchery is a nice spell school for stat boosts, but also the powerful Wave of Life spell, which you should pick up soon for him.
Below you'll find a short guide to Gray's first quests and then some tips on where to go from there.
The Treasure Of The Plains
Firstly, talk to all of the stationary NPCs in Jelton. You should learn two things - that there are treasures on the plains of Ligau Isle, and that dinosaurs live in shallow holes. We'll be finding that treasure and exploring a dino den to begin the game.
This is what makes Gray's scenario one of the more difficult in the game - you are absolutely not ready to take on dinosaurs at this point and there are some nasty traps that you can fall into.
Leave Jelton through the exit to the north. The plains are a wide-open expanse with lots of caves and burrows to explore, and we're looking for only two in particular before getting to the rest of the game.
Stay away from the dinosaurs on the plains! You won't win a fight with them. As long as you don't get too close, you won't trigger their aggression.
The first burrow to explore is the one closest to Jelton. Hop in and you should notice that you're in a Dinosaur Nest. Before you do anything, equip the Smoke Bomb Bag to someone! It's crucial to the strategy we'll be using to take on this cave safely.
As you progress through the cave, you'll notice lots of Dinosaur enemies walking about. It may seem counter-productive, but you want to fight every single one of them. When the battle starts, use a charge of the Smoke Bomb Bag instead of fighting them to escape - this will get you back to the cave with the dinosaur disappearing as if you'd beaten it.
Make your way through the entire cave, making sure you fight every single dinosaur so that the cave is empty. You'll reach some Dinosaur Eggs - pick one up. This is why we made sure the cave was empty - you now have to run back through the cave. Go back to Jelton and sell the Dinosaur Egg for a ton of cash - we recommend selling it at the Ligau Sword Store rather than at Maritime Imports, as the former has a better spread of Vendor Ratios wit♊h the three trade companies.
Dinosaur Eggs respawn every now and then, be sure to check back once you've raised your Event Rank a few times!
If you didn't eliminate the dinosaurs and instead ran around them, they'd become aggressive and would no longer disappear even after Retreating from the battle, so you'd quickly run out of Smoke Bombs and LP.
With that done, you can technically now head to the pier in Jelton and start getting on with the rest of the game - there will now be a man there who can ferry you to Melvir. Instead, though, you probably want to follow the steps below to start Gray's exclusive quest.
The Treasure Cave And The Rusty Falcata
The pit you want this time is located on the lower-right corner of the Plains (indicated with the number two on the map above). This is a deep pit, meaning you can't immediately retreat - make sure you have plenty of LP and Smoke Bombs, which you'll use to retreat from battles.
Treasure Cave B1 is a simple level - at the first intersection, you'll find some chests on the left containing gold and jewels. Ignore the Climbing point you'll walk past, you won't be able to climb it yet.
Treasure Cave B2 is a bit more meandering, but still simple. Just avoid all the monsters 💜that you can.
On Treasure Cave B3, you'll come across a sword stuck in the ground at the first intersection - take it out of the ground to get the Rusty Falcata and witness a cutscene. You'll get the 'Voice of the Blade' quest and be instructed to temper the sword with Bronze.
Take the left at the intersection and then the next right to escape the Treasure Cave. This begins a long-term quest that involves tempering the Rusty Falcata with many different materials. When you successfully temper the blade with the right material and then break it in by fighting many battles with it, you'll be told which is the next material to use. Only use these materials or you will not be able to complete this quest.
There is a group of beastmen on Treasure Cave B3 - defeating these is what you must do to complete the Plains Treasure quest, but it's a bit difficult at the moment, so come back later in the game when you're stronger and have more party members.
The Next Steps
The o💃nly place you can go from Jelton is Melvir, but this is enough to unlock the rest of the world. Follow these steps to do so efficiently and eꦏasily:
- Go to Melvir. You'll be forced to choose between Galahad or Myriam, but you can re-recruit them both before having to do any fighting, so don't worry.
- Meet up with Gian in the main area of Melvir and accept his request to get 1,000 gold and recruit Claudia, which unlocks Mazewood.
- Recruit Sif - she can be found in Altours and Crystal City.
- Recruit Barbara - she can also be found in Altours and Crystal City, along with North Estamir, Uso, and Northpoint.
- Start unlocking the coastal locations by taking ferries from places like Bruelle and Northpoint.
- 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Use your treasure map to get a quick boost in income and maybe some nice equipment!
This should be enough to unlock the majority of the map. For the rest, talk to every NPC you come across and take on quests. Your Event Rank shouldn't have increased at all yet, so you should be comfortably able to take on the quests that expire early on that we detail 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in our Event Rank guide.
If you want to re-recruit Galahad, you'll find him easily in a Temple in Crystal City. Myriam, o🦩n the other hand, hangs out in the pub in North Estamir.
