What bonds will you make, and what bonds will you break in Rise Of Th🍨e Ronin?

What Technologies Can I Develop?

You can develop five types of technology in Rise Of The Ronin. Each technology serves a different purpos🔴e. For instance, tools like The Avicula and Detector will significantly assist you with your stealth tactics. Meanwhile, tools like the fire pipe will give you a potent offensive option in battle. We recommend investing in all these technologies to improve your skills and gameplay experience.

Camera

One of the first technologies you'll develop with Igashichi is a prototype camera - a modern marvel of the late 19th century!

Discovering photography opens up plenty of opportunities in Rise Of The Ronin. Every area has a handful of landmark photos you can take to raise your bond with the region. Plus, you can complete photography jobs for the photographic studio in exchange for silver coins and other rewards.

Your camera is also an essential tool for several story missions. In♋ fact, one of your first m♌issions in Yokohama will involve photographing high-profile officials inside the Miyozaki Pleasure District.

Once you've progressed far enough with your technology development, you'll get to upgrade your camera to take underwater photos. How cool is that?

You must complete the Ronin Mission Locating The Camera before you may use the prototype camera.

Avicula

Another starter technology you'll learn from Igashichi is the Avicula. Igashichi's newly invented hang glider stems from𓆉 the Latin term for "little bird."

The Avicula is a technology you cannot afford to go without. It makes traveling so much faster, allowing you to fly from building to building in transit to a new destination. Your stealth game will become top-notch with skills like Avicula assassinations and Avicula firebombing!

Some Avicula upgrades require you to complete Glider Training, which you ღcan discover on your map by com𒉰pleting area bonds.

Fire Pipe

When the term "flamethrower" comes up, we imagine your first thought would not be 1800s Japan. After all, the weapon seems ingrained in pop culture as a 90s action movie mainstay. However, that's essentially what the Fire Pipe is.

The Fire Pipe is a deadly, explosive weapon with a refillable fuel tank. You can shoot enemies with it to give them the Burn affliction or shoot nearby explosives to cause widespread damag🅷e to a group of foes.

After you develop the Fire Pipe technology, you must complete the Bond Mission A Lucky Find Put To Use before you can use it.

Detector

Have you struggled to break into a bandit-run, unruly area without getting caught? If that's the case, the Detector is the perfect tool for you. This gramophone-looking object plays an inaudible frequency, allowing you to detect nearby enemies from around corners and behind walls.

Once you begin Chapter 3 in Kyoto, you can upgrade your Detector so it finds other targets, like plants and cats. You can also use the Technology Developm♌ent tree ♔to increase the Detector's range.

After you develop the Detector technology, you must complete the Bond Mission A Lucky Find Put To Use before you can use it.

Satchel

The Technology Development tree from Rise Of The Ronin. One of the satchel development slots is highlighted.

One nifty perk of growing your Technology Development tree is that you'll improve your Satchel's storage capacity. Satchel upgrades get unlocked by hitting a goal number of developed technologies.

There are th🦩ree types of Satchel upgrades to develop:

  • Additional Accessory Equipment Slots
  • Decreased Karma Loss
  • Increased Inventory Space
